I think it is time to limit each NBA team to 12 players. Thee are so many injuries to so many teams.
It would save each team Money and the players would be able to play more(some at multiple positions) Like the Jazz. You would be allowed to sign players when one is on injured reserve. when injured player comes back-one player would have to be cut.
With jazz having 5 players injured today, probably price and either kufous or Fez would be off the team and the jazz would have Guards and forwards replacing Korver, Kirlinko, Harpring and Miles.

They have that option. 15 is better than the days of yore with your Darren Morningstars getting 10 day contracts and players being forced onto the DL for a minimum number of games.

Wait. Let me follow your logic. There are so many injuries that teams should have FEWER players on their rosters?
So rather than the Jazz having 9 players for tonight's game, you'd prefer they have 6 or 7?
It's not like you can shrink the roster while simultaneously switching all your players to non-guaranteed contracts.

I am also struggling to understand the logic here. It's not like injuries reserve themselves for the worst players on the roster, you have the 13-15 players on a team so you can deal with situations like the Jazz are facing right now with Harpring, Miles, Korver, Price, and Kirilenko.
If the Jazz only had a 12 man roster we'd have no Wesley Matthews or Kyrylo Fesenko to suit up, and we'd only have Maynor and Koufos coming off the bench?
Thats a better situation?

Limiting the roster to 12 players would cause more injuries because you would have the same amount of time for fewer players. More playing time per player would mean more chances of getting hurt and would also cause more exhaustion. There is no way the league could play 82 games a year with 12 player rosters. It would get rid of one bad thing though, the 4 games in 5 nights swing that is just ridiculous. Other than that, it would be a bad idea, for the players, league, and fans.
