Isn't l TMac like 23Mil expiring this year? I really don't think Rockets do this.

I'm having a hard time coming up with a trade here that makes sense for the Rockets.

How about this deal:

Utah Sends Mehmet Okur to Sacramento
Utah Sends Andrei Kirilenko to Sacramento
Utah Sends Kosta Koufus to Sacramento
Utah Sends NY Pick to Houston

Utah Receives Tracy McGrady from Houston
Utah Receives Shane Battier from Houston
Utah Receives Luis Scola from Houston

Sacramento Sends Kevin Martin to Houston
Sacramento Sends Kenny Thomas to Houston
Sacramento Sends Andres Nocioni to Houston

Sacramento Receives Mehmet Okur from Utah
Sacramento Receives Andrei Kirilenko from Utah
Sacramento Receives Kosta Koufus from Utah

Houston Sends Tracy McGrady to Utah
Houston Sends Shane Battier to Utah
Houston Sends Luis Scola to Utah

Houston Receives Kevin Martin from Sacramento
Houston Receives Kenny Thomas from Sacramento
Houston Receives Andres Nocioni from Sacramento
Houston Receives NY 2010 pick from Utah

Why for Utah:
Jazz obtain Battier / Scola and a huge expiring in Tmac.

Why for Sacramento:
They likely wait and see how Martin and the rookie play together first - if it doesn't go well and they shop Martin - Kiri/Memo might be a decent offer.

Why for Houston:
They get the player they reportedly want (Kevin Martin) while unloading Tmac. Ariza has made Battier expendable. Thomas contract is still expiring and they get a nice lottery pick.

If T-mac is expiring this year, the Rockets better do something quick or they will get nothing for him!

Seems like a good trade for both sides at first glance to me. The first trade that is.

Someone over in the Rockets board is claiming Kirilenko and his agent were spotted at the Toyota Center today - no idea on the validity...

I think AK would be a good fit on the Rockets. They're the kind of team he could really contribute to and get back to his old numbers with.

Agreed. He fits right in with the Scola, Landry, Hayes, Battier line up.

They're dying for a point forward who can stay healthy.

Take out the Knicks pick and you have a deal.

Jazz aren't gonna deal for TMac. ESPN says Houston wants an all-star or borderline all-star in return. My guess is he'll end up just finishing his contract in Houston.

You think Houston really would be interested in that contract? They seem like a smart FO, I think Arenas would kill the outstanding chemistry that team has right now.

I think the possibility of an AK for T-Mac trade hinges on what Daryl Morey's magic numbers say about Andrei. It's very possible that AK looks really good in Morey's metrics.

Not only that, they're lacking a superstar so a lot of the offense would run through him. They're the kind of of middling team that he'd thrive with.

Boozer+AK for McGrady and Scola. I think Houston would bite on that.
