LAST DAY OF 2009: JAZZ/THUNDER 6MTN

THE RETURN OF ERIC MAYNOR

Havent done a game thread in a long while. Hope this goes well. If anyone knows a place a Utah native can watch the game from out of state, it may or may not be helpful.

I can e-mail you some links if you want them.

Hopefully we win, but if I were betting on this game I'd have to go with OKC.

I watched OKC play against LA and man do they have a talented team. I don't think they are playing to their fullest potential right now. but then again neither are we.

So Deron beats Thabo about 5 times in a row driving to the hoop, but decides to go with a fade away 20 footer in the crunch? WTF??

:( Some days things just don't go your way.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Jazz got boned by the refs. We won that game and they stole it from us. **** them.

Where was Boozer for 8 minutes of the 4th quarter?

Why was Price out there at the end of the game?

This is another great example of Sloan not having a play set up, he didn't have one on the previous play when Deron jacked up a 20 footer, and he didn't have one on the last play.......

Another pathetic effort.......

I don't usually complain about the refs but we've been getting the screw job by the refs this whole season, even at home. Ticky-tack call on Sap and terrible no-call on Price.

And WTF was Boozer thinking at the end?

The boxscore shows Boozer played 17 minutes in the second half ... and did virtually nothing. What's with that? How did he manage to get out of the way of every rebound and miss about everything he tossed at the basket?

Okur is an absolute mess. I would trade that guy for something found in a cracker jack box right about now.

I can't blame the officials for everything, but how can you call Millsap for that BS foul? Memo over Fes is the biggest coaching error right know. If Memo isn't making his shot he's worthless.

Yeah, that was the worst game deciding call I've seen in a while. That ref should be sent to the D league.

The continued disrespect the refs in this league show to Millsap is flabbergasting... and that call was the cherry on top. The missed call on the Ronnie Price shot was terrible too, but Millsap was SO OBVIOUSLY hacked from behind on that rebound, I am just livid. I hate blaming the refs for losing a game, and rarely do it, but they screwed the Jazz BIG TIME on this one. We really needed that game too...

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Not trying to steal the Thunder's thunder, they are a great young team...not to mention scary. But that was the worst officiating I have seen in a long time. It's not just a question of "what if": those bad calls directly cost us what would have been an important win.

Maybe, just maybe it will inspire the Jazz to start 2010 a little more pissed and hungry.

But probably not.

I didn't see the end of the game or I'd probably be livid as well... but... the key to not letting the officials screw you over in the final seconds is to have a big enough lead that it doesn't matter if they do. If the score is within a single possession with a minute to go you may as well just flip a coin.

Stat of the night: Maynor finishes with twice as many assists as D-Will.
