Jazz sign Sundiata Gaines

Post#1 » by Three34 » Tue Jan 5, 2010 7:49 pm

No link yet, but won't be long.

You found your extra guard; Sundiata Gaines, a scorer out of Georgia. In the D-League this year he was averaging 23.9 points, 6.9 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals. He's not a great shooter, is small for a primary scorer, and isn't overly explosive to compensate for that, but he is good.

He looks like Stephon Marbury...same moves, similar jumper...

Well, he's a New York City product from Queens.

Never heard of the guy, but that is a great name. So I'm pleased with this.

This isn't the potential deal KOC was referring to. This is the Jazz getting back to the required 13 players on the roster. ;)

I smell championship!
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Who knows, he may end up being the next guy from the D-League who sticks in the NBA for years.

Does anyone believe that KOC has it in him to make some kind of move, besides signing a D-leaguer?

He is exploring it for sure, but the team isn't going to do some stupid Gasol like move just to prove they are doing something publicly.
