call me a skeptic but i'll believe it when i see it. sounds to me like he is making excuses before the (complete) failure.

All I saw was "Blah, blah, blah, money, money, $$, yadda, yadda".......

Same old nonsense from an owner, I noticed he made no mention of dumping a very productive player to save some cash.......

More drivel rather than real answers. I don't care how much he loves the Jazz. I care about the results, which are not there. We have a supposed hall of fame coach with four supposed all stars (past or present) who can't show up to play all the time. What is the problem? Management's job is to find solutions that work rather than spouting public relations crap.

I thought it was telling that one of his bullet points started "When change comes..." and the next started "Making trades in the NBA is very complicated..."

That tells me they're trying to make some moves. Will they succeed at making the right ones? Hard to say.

This is a key stretch for KOC. I think it's make or break for him. If he is able to swing a deal that sets the Jazz up nicely for the future then he can keep his job. If he can't then it's time for him to go.

What did you expect? Miller going out there voicing pain and frustration and informing all the league he's desperate to blow up the team?
I'm all for a roster blow out, giiving away this season to rebuild with picks, trades and free money by next summer; but ownership, executives and coaches just ought to behave exactly the way they've been doing,
Unless an out of this world turnaround happen, moves will be done by february deadline.

No, it was a horrible deal basketball wise, it was a great deal financially for the owners.......

Keeping Eric Maynor would cost them Boozer money. Not only does it cost them that money, they give that money to their competition.

The Maynor deal was the right move, as crappy as it was.

With Harpring and Maynor, the Jazz were essentially paying 10+ million dollars a year for a back up PG averaging 10 minutes a night.

If you can unload that and not take back anything in return you did a good job, even if it was hard for fans to swallow.

Exactly. I can't help but feel patronized by what appears to be feel-good rhetoric. I mean I don't doubt that they explore trade options, I just think everyone in the organization is too stubborn, conservative and cautious to be aggressive and get something done. I would take any gritty middle-of-the-road player with heart over Memo or CJ right now.

I'm sick of Owners and people like Gordon Monson telling me that "trades are complicated, you can't just trade Korver for Kobe Bryant" as they scoff with smirks on their faces.

The fans aren't that damn stupid. There are plenty of viable trade options, and at this point we don't necessarily need equal value in return. Just heart and maybe some cap room. I don't care if we suck for a while as long as the players seem to care. If anything, it'll get us some good draft picks and make us better in the long run.

I've always been opposed to blowing this team up. I always felt like we were one missing piece away from being title contenders. Now I think we need changes in just about anything. As far as players go, keep Dwill. We'll more than likely have to keep AK because of his contract but at the end of the season that huge expiring is a pretty good trade asset. I think Sloan will leave sometime this season on his own accord and Ty Corbin will finish the season as head coach. Hornacek will probably move up to assistant coach and they'll have both have a shot at head coach next season. I've never been so apathetic towards a Jazz squad in my life, and I think that's the way it is with most fans this season. Fiscally and competitively it makes sense to make a move this season.

I honestly think that if Sloan leaves, Phil Johnson takes the reigns.

Yes to all of this. Perhaps it's time the Millers found a GM who doesn't think trades are too complicated...

I liked that column.

I thought Kragthorpe's quote of Bill Parcells ("You are who your record says you are") was apt. We have a pretty big sample size with this coach and this group of players and it doesn't look like a contending team.

I think Jerry, Greg et al. are in denial if they truly believe this team can win as presently constructed.

What do you expect the millers to do? This should be a good team, they need to rebuild but for pennies on the dollar
