Quick Hugely Positive Change ...

Move Okur to Golden State for Maggette and see what happens. This suggestion is closefetched because the Warriors want to move Maggette's contract. When I look at his $10 million annual salary, I see a guy who ranks in the top 25 in efficiency per minute and brings big effort to the floor every night. He is one of the league leaders in drawing fouls ... which the Jazz needs huge improvement at ... and a great free throw shooter. Maggette will give you 15-25 points night after night and do it with efficiency ... something that no Jazz wing can currently do.

This trade moves Boozer to center. It is where he belongs. It keeps him closer to the basket on defense, where he will block and rebound with the best of them ... thus utilizing his best asset. It also allows him to attack a generally slower defender on the offensive end. Statistically, Boozer will outduel nearly every center in the West nearly every night. This trade also brings Fesenko and Koufos into play.

This move puts Kirilenko in the lineup as the starting four. You have to increase Kirilenko's productivity if you want to have a chance to trade him. The Jazz can get much more out of him in this capacity anyway.

A trade with Golden State might also be expanded to get a shooting guard that can find the net with some regularity ... maybe Morrow.

I would do this trade in a heartbeat, and the salaries match up perfectly.

It adds another year before the salary comes off the book but I think Maggette fits in well with what the Jazz want to do, and I think his scoring is exactly what the Jazz need next to our other wings.

^Pretty much.

Sloan ran Giricek out of town for "breaking plays"...how do you think he will feel about Maggette's head-down runaway-train style of offence? I for one am not interested...the Maggette boat sailed about two contracts ago.

NBA moves shouldn't be made out of sheer boredom. There needs to be a real plan for the future. Maggette is no plan for any future.

*Pictures Boozer getting lit up by any center with length in the league*

No thanks, I would take Martin or Gortat long before I do this. Maggette is surely a great scorer, but he would not do well here under this system.

Is Memo really any better of a plan for the future though?

That's an irrelevant point.

Too bad my Warriors didn't think of that before they signed him.
