Didn't come right out and say that he had it directly out of O'Connor's mouth, but the implications was certainly there, and he was emphatic about it. Also said "John Wall is better than Deron Williams" as if it was ridiculous to suggest otherwise. All on Sports Guy podcast:

It's true. The way they are talking Wall is as sure a thing as Lebron was.

not surprising at all that the jazz would draft him, I don't know if he's a better player than DW. Wall is a great talent and IF the jazz were lucky enough to get him they would do so without hesitation. DW or Wall could then be traded for another player later.

Wall is definitely the best player in the nation right now. He's has a great future too. If the Jazz were to miraculously get the #1 pick I wouldn't hesitate to take him in the slightest.

Imagine what having a player like Tyreke Evans on the Jazz right now would do next to Deron Williams, then just imagine that you are getting a more talented player, a better athlete, a better distributor, and a better defender.

He's a can't miss prospect.

As good as Wall is, if given the chance to take him or Tyreke Evans, I would go with Evans. No slight to wall but Evans is just so powerful at such a young age, I shudder to think how players will guard him when he reaches full strength.

Wall is certainly a great athlete but I would not go so far as to call him a can't miss type of prospect. Definitely not a Lebron type of prospect.

I honestly think at worst he's a Derrick Rose type player and he's only going to improve. Barring injury I see no reason why he won't be able to do what he's been doing in College at the NBA level.

Certainly no one knows the future but there's no compelling argument in saying Tyreke Evans is better.

Knicks are going to make the playoffs.

Any team in the league will take him #1. Even Dallas, NOH, and the Suns would take Wall first. It isn't a knock on Deron or that he would be sent out.

It doesn't really matter at this point because it appears that we are going to get two picks somewhere in the very late lotto or the low playoff ones.

There is no compelling argument for Evans? He is putting his 20, 5 and 5 ss a rookie on good shooting numbers. Evans is not much older than Wall is either.

hypothetically, if the jazz do get number one (IF the knicks finish worst record in the league, they will only have around a 25-30% at number one, more or less) and wall is drafted by the jazz, i think moving moving deron to 2 will be great. dwill might not be very happy, but he could back up wall in the 2nd and 3rd or 4th Q's. wall wont replace deron, he would replace brew or cj, and dwill will slide up a spot.

Deron wouldn't last at the 2 for long periods of time during an entire season.

Jazz would take wall and make him the back up pg. he would get about 8 min per game. We wouldnt trade anybody unless they demanded out, and by then the players value would be to low to get anything of quality out of it.

If Wall came in he would be the starting 2 and the back up PG. That's if of course.

It's not a shock that the Jazz would take Wall if they get the # 1 pick. I think every team would take him if they had the number 1 pick.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

HAHAHAHAHAhahaha....hrph.

We like to dream. It's still a possibility, given the chances of the Knicks doing well, and the lotto balls. 4.3%

That's not bad odds if you are hoping for a Lebron.

I've watched Wall a couple of times.

While he is clearly the most talented player in the NCAA right now and a worthy #1 pick, I am FAR from saying that he is a sure thing. To me he looks WAY too small to excel in the NBA. He doesnt have a Chris Paul-esque game that would allow him to do so. He definitely has more of a Derrick Rose style game, but doesnt not have Rose's size or build.

How far are the Knicks away from getting into the playoffs (you would get around the 16th pick) and how far are they away from getting the number 1 pick (thus giving you the best chance at #1).

If you did do the research these two scenario's are in no way comparable. Even the most homerific Jazz fans would tell you the knicks have a better shot at making the playoffs then giving away the #1 pick
