Nuggets have formula to beat the Jazz
Karl, nuggets coach, says the formula to beat the Jazz is pace (fast break) and penetration (ie lack of shot blocking).
Simply run the ball because the Jazz dont get back on defense and drive to the hoop on the Jazz and either get a layup or get fouled. Nuggets shot 49 free throws yesterday.
I just dont know why the Jazz dont try to fix these issues. Fess needs playing time to discourage penetration. DWILL has been one of our worst defenders this year. I liked when Maynor was at PG guarding PGs with DWILL guarding SG. Little fast Pgs drive DWILL nuts. Gaines and Price need significant time at PG for their defense with DWILL moving over to SG especially against teams with a PG that penetrates.
PS: Boozer and AK-47 both want to stay in Utah. It amazing how players dont want to play in Utah until they spend sometime there then they like it. Im from California and never been to Utah. It reflects well on your community that players that spend time in Utah dont want to leave.

Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

You are from California and never been here? That explains a lot.

Re: Nuggets have formula to beat the Jazz
I agree with this sentiment. I don't think Fess should get 10 minutes every night, but when we play against teams like Denver who destroy us in the paint on any given possession... it's time for a change.
Memo was horrible the other night and should not have stepped onto the court in the second half. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing stretches of Fess and Kosta on the court at the same time against Denver. It would kill our inside game offensively but isn't that why we have a player like D-Will? Someone who can carry the load when really needed.
Hopefully there is a trade in the works. Boozer for a shot blocking big man would really take this team to another level.

How about Memo for a shot blocking center? I would much rather have Boozer on my team then Memo. Both are equally bad on defense but Boozer much moe consistently brings it on offense. Memo isnt someone the Jazz can run their offense through. (BTW either is Paul Millsap so the argument that he fills in for Booze doesnt cut it).

I am fine with that. Who are the shot blocking centers out there? Which ones are available? How much do they make? Who is going to trade one of them for Okur?

The only problem with thinking that Fes is going to solve problems in the paint is that he fouls at an alarming rate. He would not have helped us in this game.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

When George Karl develops a winning strategy against your team you know your team has problems.

HolyToledo, Maynor is not on the team anymore and he was servicable. Nothing more and the Jazz saved $10 million. Seriously let it go. He will not be back in a Jazz uni this season.
Also never being to Utah explains so much.

The Nuggets used to be Utah's bitch until they got Billups. He give them the veteran presence and swagger to put the Nuggets at a higher level. The Jazz have no veteran presence. That's why guys like Fisher and Harpring were important.

Exactly. We really don't need to blow up this team, we need to acquire a Billups type veteran and a defensive big. Two things that are hard to get in this league.

Yeah, that was a great move. Oh, wait. Who did they trade to get Billups? I can't remember the guys name, but I'm pretty sure he was a vet, and I'm pretty sure he had swagger.

Yeah, if only we had those two guys back. I bet we'd win 60 games, easy. Probably more.

Re: Nuggets have formula to beat the Jazz
The Nuggets do have a strategy that works against the Jazz, and this is what it looks like.

Here is what the strategy entails. Put Nene on the left block 15 fee from the hoop, posting up Boozer/Okur.
When he gets the ball with his back to the basket, turn to his left, take one or two dribbles and either lay it in with his right hand because neither Jazz player can slide their feet, or go to the free-throw line because Boozer and Okur hack at him.
And it works every single time. If the Nuggets need a basket, they can put the ball into Nene and either get a lay up or go to the free-throw line. It happens every single time.

Being a tough vet that still knows how to contribute to a team winning is much more different than being a primadonna that chucks and is too slow to still be effective with his style of play.

Word. Just imagine if Denver had Billups, AND Fish, AND Harp. They'd be unstoppable.
Seriously though, I think you missed my point. Billups is important to Denver because of who he is as a player, not because he's a veteran with swagger. Otherwise, Iverson should've given them similar results. Throwing out the names of Harp and Fish, as if they belong in the same sentence as Billups, is ridiculous.

When Fisher was on the Jazz, the Jazz won 20 games on the road. Since he left the Jazz have been pathetic on the road except against SA this year. Fisher brought veteran leadership, championship experience, and intangibles, something you need in a hostile enviornment. Billups provides the same qualitites for the Nuggets, with of course, greater basketball skills.

Fisher's impact greatly overrated.
What about Harp?

Harpring is better than Artest.

Wrong guess. I haven't posted in Jazzfanz in a while. I think I even forgot the user name I was using there.

There are only a couple of motards who believe crap similar to what you've posted.
I thought you was both of them.
