Would we do this? Bynum gets us a legit center, perhaps the leagues best for the next ten years.

Thoughts.

And pehaps, Bynum becomes just another underachieving big man.......

He's not worth the risk....... We give up two huge assets for a "what if"........ Not good decision making.......

Everybody talks about how great Bynum is---the fact is that he is an underachieving, frequently injured big man who is over payed and over rated.

He seems to do fine when he has consistent minutes (in other words when Pau Gasol is out).

I dont think theres a chance LA does this. Boozer wouldnt fit well with Gasol, in my opinion.

You guys are nuts. Bynum is an All Star center who doesn't get half the touches that he would be getting here in Utah. I.E. He would be getting much better numbers here in Utah. He is big, young, strong, and he has been tutored by Kareem and now has post moves.

He will be a stud for a long time to come. Also, his injuries are unlike those of players like Borchardt, and Oden where you are concerned about them being brittle, or too big for their bodies.

As far as what we give up, we don't give up two huge assets. We give up two expiring deals that we aren't likely to resign and a #10 pick. Essentially we get a all star center for the #10th pick in the draft. I will take that any day of the week. And, if we want to resign Korver in the off-season we can if we want to.

Decent enough value but I just don't trust Bynum, and he seems too immature for the Jazz system. It would be an Isiah move not to top pick protect the pick. Any chance at Wall is a Golden Ticket.

The Jazz do this trade as they get something for two guys likely gone at end of the year. No way Lakers do this trade!!!! Maybe if the Jazz added the NYK pick, they probably would do it.

If the Jazz did this trade with the Lakers, the Jazz would be giving up on this season for the future. It is hard to give up on the season, but I think it would be best for the Jazz especially if they dont plan on resigning Boozer in the off season.

The following trade works best for cap purposes:

Boozer/Brewer for Bynum/Morrison/Mbenga

Ok fantasy world trade, not a very practical trade for either team.

If the Jazz were to pull off this move, I would then move Memo/Miles for Hamilton and Detroits pick. You get an all star center in Bynum, and then a veteran SG that is a perfect fit for the Jazz whose deal only runs one year longer than Memo's. Yes, I know he is getting older, but his game is based on physical fitness. Look at his body, and compare him to Ray Allen. Ray will turn 35 this year, the final year of his contract. His numbers are still strong and would be stronger if Rondo wasn't trying to make the all star team.

My point is, is that Hamilton will likely be a consistent performer for the next 3 years of his contract, in a system that is taylor made for him.

I would even keep Ak after his contract runs out under this scenario. He would get time at the 4 behind Millsap, and be a non shoothing complement to a solid SG, whereas right now he is a non shooting complement to another non shooting wing in Brewer.

Williams
Hamilton
AK
Millsap
Bynum

Is better than next year:

Williams
Brewer
AK
Millsap
Memo

If there was any chance of getting Wall with that pick, we'd be giving up the most anticipated player in the draft. And to one of the best teams in the league. I'm not doing this trade just because it makes the Lakers that much better and it makes the Jazz the same team they were with Booze.

then just protect the pick top 3 then. No one realy expects the pick to be in the top 3 so the lakers would do that for a shot at a 8-10 pick and quality players.
