The Jazz have great eam numbers and are ranked 2nd best team in west by Hollinger except 1 important area:

Defense not great but Rebounding is biggest issue. We have Memo, Boozer, AK-47, and Millsap and we cat rebound? Why is rebounding so bad for the Jazz. Marcus Camby would be a great addition to this team as a back up PF/C.

Numbers:

If you're into Hollinger and his rankings, the Jazz are ranked #2 currently in his power rankings. If you aren't into the Hollinger break down, here are some more traditional numbers for the Jazz:

Oddly enough your own stats show Utah out rebound their opponents.

You have to adjust the numbers for the "pace" (i.e. number of possesions per game) of each team. Utah is about middle of the pack for "pace".

They rank:
5th (75.4%) in defensive rebounding %
22nd (25.0%) in offensive rebounding %
10th (50.8%) in total rebounding %

So it is actually offensive rebounding that is their problem.

That is where a player like Jeff Foster would be a big improvement. See stats below.

While he has similar rebounding stats to Koufos his usage rate is alot lower (much prefer the ball in D Will or Boozers hands obviously) and while his differial is zero this is because he plays for a much worse team. He actually has the second best diffential rating on the Pacers behind Troy Murphy (+8). Danny Granger is third (-1).

OR% DR% TR% Player (PER, Usage%, Offensive-Defensive Rating)
14.3 20.1 17.2 Foster (9.7, 10.2, 0)
14.5 21.7 18.2 Koufos (9.0, 21.7, -12)
06.7 29.1 18.2 Boozer (20.1,25.2, +7)
07.8 20.1 14.1 Okur (14.3, 21.3, +1)
09.1 17.7 13.5 Millsap (15.2, 17.7, +8)
08.4 17.7 13.1 Fesenko (10.8, 15.5, +1)
04.6 14.4 09.6 Kirilenko (17.1, 17.8, +11)

I am not surprised we are leading the league in Dog Assists, but the Cat Rebounding stat surprises me.
