Jazz/Bulls Small trade

Jazz get Tyrus Thomas, Chris Richard, and 2nd round pick
Bulls get Korver and Kosta Koufus
Jazz save some luxury tax, try out Thomas for rest of year to see if they want to keep him, Thomas/Richard provide bench support in case of injury to one of our bigs. Korver and Losta out of rotation. The Jazz have also had success with 2nd round picks.
Bulls get rid of malcontent Thomas, get shooter in Korver to help their playoff hopes, and add local popular young center in Kosta.
Small trade that both teams do but likely has little affect on each of the teams unless Thomas develops for Jazz or Kosta develops for Bulls.

So, over the course of a half season Tyrus's value goes from Boozer to Kyle Korver and Kosta Koufos? It's not like this half season has been great for Kyle and Kosta's value either.

The thing with the Boozer trade is that it was under the assumption of the Jazz doing whatever they needed to to get rid of Boozer before the start of the season.
Thomas's value was never near the real value of Boozer...only assumed deflated dumping value of Boozer, and even then there was another starting calibur player involved in the rumor going back to the Jazz.
As for the proposed trade. It's not terrible. Not sure how we'd find time for Korver baring other moves. I'd rather look else where first though.
As funny as this sounds, the insertion of Chris Richards makes this a no though. Not b/c Richards is bad ass...but b/c it'd leave us with only 3 rotational bigs.

TyrusThomas has recently lost his starting spot with Taj Gibson... Gibson's a pretty nice young player to have though...

I would do it. Thomas may be a malcontent but he won't be able to influence others to join him, or he just may accept a new role and do well. It's worth the risk.

I think I'd to this deal. It basically turns an excess of wing depth into frontcourt depth. I'd rather have the frontcourt depth come playoff time.

I'm not a big Thomas fan, so I would have to say no. I would rather target some other bigs that are rumored to be available.

I'd rather send Miles than Korver. Kyle is our only shooting threat on the wing so loosing him might hurt our team. Miles however? His short-comings are pretty obvious. I like Richards, but AK is the only insurance we'd need, but really, what do we do with Okur-Millsap-Thomas-Boozer-AK? Someone would have to loose a significant ammount of minutes for Thomas and it isn't worth it (IMO).
