The Trade Talk Refuge

Post#1 » by QuantumMacgyver » Wed Feb 17, 2010 11:56 pm

Maybe its just me, but does anyone else need a break from all the lame trade talk crap?

Instead, I'd like to see what other Jazz fans would do if they could make the Jazz selection in the coming draft. The Knicks will, most likely, finish no worse than the 8th pick. They could realistically finish as high as the 4th pick.

So whoever else would like a break from all the trade talk, rank your top 8 picks for June, in the order you would pick for the Jazz.

Mine would go:
Wall-I would look to trade down a pick or two, or take Wall and play D-Will at the 2, Wall is SICK!!!
Turner-Turner would probably help the Jazz more than anyone else in the draft.
Cousins-Dream big man beside Milsap. Smart, Strong, and Aggressive.
Aldrich-Traditional big man. His hustle would be a real relief behind Memo.
Wesley Johnson-Great player across the board, but not the Jazz weakest position
Monroe/Davis-These two players seem fairly interchangable at this point. Both would be good pick ups.
Favors-I know this is awfully low for Favors, but he is 6'9" and we already have an undersized PF.

What would you guys do?

I watched Aldrich the other night and I was impressed at his ability to move on D, but he did lack funadmentals as tried to block every shot. He is the guy the Jazz would likely draft if 3rd pick. Cousins maybe the best player out of the bunch. Wall = OJ Mayo which is pretty good. The rest of the bunch can be pretty good players but not stars like Cousins and Wall.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Cousins is amazing, Favors could be, and Monroe is very good. Those are my 3 favorite bigs. For wings I like Evan Turner, Wes Johnson, and Avery Bradley. Wes Johnson is the most likely pick for us and I think he would be a 15-17ppg guy in our offense.

If it's legit trade talk, then I like it, but there is very little of that to go around in this place.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...
