Who do you want to start @ SG?

I am hoping that Matthews gets the job. I think his combination of offense and defense is tops for the options we have available. I know Sloan is a stubborn SOB about giving too many minutes to rookies, but, I think he's the best of the bunch.
If CJ gets the job, that's the worst case scenario. I have never seen any Jazz player get away with breaking more plays than CJ. I don't know how he avoids Sloan's doghouse, but, he does it somehow.
Korver I could live with, but, I don't mind him off the bench either.

I hope Matthews. The good thing is we will know how this works out pretty quickly, with two tough road games right away. I bet Miles will start, and I hope he starts pulling his head out of his ass and plays more like Ronnie did, but if he doesn't, I hope that the coaches can give Wes or Kyle a shot.

no doubt Wes should get it. Wes and Korver should get the majority of the minutes, with CJ gettin garbage time.
Wes and Korver have bought into the team concept that has made us so succesfull over the past month. CJ has shown flashes of it, but more often than not is just a bonehead me first chucker. I would hate to see CJ get the majority of the new play time, but I have a sick feeling that's gonna be the case.

Matthews... he is the more complete, and probably the more consistent.
I hope KK increase his minutes too. He is shooting really well (54% from field goals and 59% from 3pt)

I was hoping for Matthews, but Miles will probably the one. Matthews plays with lots of energy and it's always nice to start the game with some fire. Korver wouldn't be bad either. He can shoot and we can always use that. CJ probably feels he should be the starter, so it's a good idea to bring him off the bench. It might make him play harder, in order to get the starting SG job back.

Anyone but Miles, Miles does not play within the offense, he does what he wants when he wants.

Mathews Korver
Williams Price
Boozer Milsap
Kirlinko Miles
Okur Fes (until Jazz sign another big man. Anyone who can play defense)
Gaines Kosta
If jazz really find a defensive big man who plays defense in the next 2 weeks, then this team still can make some noise in the west. Brewer was the best chip the jazz had. No one wants Miles or Korver or Kosta or Fes. The jazz wanted more then anyone offered for Boozer. So, a good guy goes to make payroll happier for the jazz this year and next year. Now all we have back next year are Williams Kirlinko MIlsap Okur Price Miles Kosta I'm sure we'll sign Mathews. Thats 8 guys back for sure. The rest will be an interesting off season

Miles is starting but would be nice for Ronnie Price to get some minutes at SG with DWILL at PG.
Korker cannot start as versus the Lakers he would get eaten up by Kobe or Artest.
Matthews makes sense but he has looked tired lately like he has hit the rookie wall.
Miles has the most ability and maybe starting makes him hustle more to match his ability. He is a decent passer when he decides to do it. If he chucks too much he loses his starting job and he knows it.

You're both right. Korver's is pretty obvious based on number of attempts. What's the most interesting to me is the big right/left difference on Matthews' chart. What is up with that?

That is weird. I wonder if he or the jazz coaches even noticed that. I dont think any of us ever noticed him shoot better on one side of the floor versus the other.

Not sure. I would ask which of the three players benefits the most from playing with the starters? I would have to say Kyle.
Kyle would spread the floor the best clearing things a bit for DWill and Boozer, has good chemistry with Deron. Deron always looks for him in drive and kicks.

Korver, def. It would spread the floor out a lot more and way more than Brewer did and he's been playing great lately... Just lack of defensive ability... Still pick KK though.

I'd give Korver the nod and the PT ought to be split roughly thus: Korver (40%), Matthews (40%), Miles (20%).
I also think we should send Korver in to the post on the left box more often.

Korver the start, Matthews off the bench with CJ at filler for the two. AK47 continues to start with CJ as the primary backup for AK.
