Playoffs

Post#1 » by Soul Patch » Mon Feb 22, 2010 11:56 am

Who do you guys most want to meet in the playoffs?
For me its:
Phoenix; Jazz's system>>>Sun's system. I'd be extremely confident in a 7 game series.
New Orleans/Portland/Houston; New Orleans and Houston are teams we beat on a regular basis. Portland has too many injuries this year to be that scary.
Dallas; Pretty good matchup on our end. Kidd, Dirk, and Haywood can't guard Deron, Boozer, and Okur. As long as we prevent Dirk 4th quarters should be fine.
Spurs; played well against them this year but they're a different beast in the playoffs
Oklahoma; bad matchup overall. Young, athletic, and hungry team. I'd expect a long series with us on top.
Nuggets; They know how to make us play their game and disrupt our offense. Nene destroys us inside.
Lakers; ****'em

Right now, I'm hoping New Orleans make a final push, and we somehow end up with them. Other than that the only two teams I can say I'd prefer are the suns and mavs.

Doesnt matter as long as the Jazz are #2 or #3 seed to avoid the Lakers in the second round. Hopefully, the Spurs muster up enough for one series to eliminate the Lakers for the Jazz.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

This is why I want the Thunder to be the 4 seed.I think that they can give the Lakers some fits!Jazz vs Spurs in the 2 vs 7 game.Home court vs thew Nuggets it goes 7 and the Lakers well....lets hope we get that far!

I hope that we meet the 98-99 Jazz. I would really enjoy seeing this team going up against the likes of Adam Keefe.

1997-98 MPG 25.6 RPG 5.5 PPG 7.8
1998-99 MPG 14.6 RPG 3.2 PPG 4.0

His production wasn't that high even when he was averaging career high in MPG. Honestly, I didn't know Keefe ever had an upside

To his credit, I guess he was a solid roleplayer.

Anyways... I forgot who did it, but someone posted a post on GB trying to get some credit for the Jazz. The respect that this team gets league-wide is astounding. I know that we're not the favorites up against LA and Denver but half the people there didn't think we could even take Dallas in a 7 game series...

Makes me all the more excited for the spring...

Keefe was a underrated defender and was very efficient on offense

basically a jerry sloan type player

We can beat anyone but the Lakers, and its been that way for 3 years.
