February:

15.2 ppg

Statistically, it's the worst month of his entire career

I don't know if he's hurt but he's sure been hurting my feelings lately.

Just a slump I'd guess.

I hope its just a slump because I used to love every time he jacked up a shot after he crossed someone up.. and now I question it because hes been shooting so poorly.. I dont want to do that its just natural but damn d will lets start tonight by hittin some "d will" shots!!

I think he's got a bum wrist. He took some hard falls on it before the all star break and never got a chance to really rest it.

I think it's a combination of the wrist thing and not having his head in the game. He is easily getting angry, which is usually a good thing for him, but not when he can't make his shots. I think he is in uncomfortable territory for the first time in a while with Ronnie being gone. He needs to get over it soon though.

Question I've been wanting to post on here, don't feel it's worthy of a new thread though: Who is Sloan referring to when he says 'we play well when we don't play selfish basketball'? Is he referring to Williams?

Do we realize hoy many "slumps" have been in Williams career? It's just who he is. He's capable of playing tremendous basketball and to change the flow of any game and to carry his team, and then he has the "ability" to play just average (or even worse) in other games. I'm ok with it because it's just who he is;; he just need to mature.

If that's the case then I will start wondering if he's the guy I want running the Jazz.

I would have to emphatically say no, he is not singling out Deron. I don't think he's referring to anyone in particular. Since January the Jazz have collectively shared the ball and played team defense like they haven't been able to in at least 4 years.

He looked fine against Houston..I think it's more mental than physical

A wrist injury is the kind that can feel good one day and bad the next. That said, I think you're kind of right. I think it's both mental and physical really. I think it all comes down to how he starts the game. If he starts shooting well, he doesn't think about it. If he starts poorly, he thinks more and more about it. He needs to have good starts to help his confidence, and he needs to get the ball to Boozer more.
