It wasn't you. I wanted to preserve the quiet beauty of a one page game thread for posterity.

When is Jeffers 10-day up? Anyone think he's with us for the remainder of the season?
Also, didn't notice Fes got so much burn. 43 min... 11 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks. i would have thought his numbers would be slightly higher with so much PT in a blowout game against a short (and shorthanded) team

10 of those points were part of creating the blowout, and not garbage time; so that's good. Love the avy BTW.

...and a Knicks loss, Indiana win helps Jazz draft pick chances, and OKC loss helps Jazz gain some ground in playoff positioning. If you notice the bottom of the barrel teams in the east, the Knicks are the only team that have nothing to lose for and that's way they are the most winning team of the bunch. In some european leagues the worst team gets demoted to the minor league and the best of the minor league gets promoted to keep teams playing and competing. I wish the NBA had a better system.

interesting point, that would be pretty cool to see the nets go to the d-league and completely dominate...

The problem with relegation is it devalues the value of the franchise too much so the owners would never go for it. It works in Europe because the business grew with the system in place, and the supporters are more akin to college fans here. I would love to see promotion and relegation in the NCAA!

There IS relegation/promotion to a certain extent with the BCS. The MWC is fairly close to getting an automatic qualification.
While I like the idea in principle, I'm not sure I'd model any sports league on the EPL, where you've got 4-6 super teams who are always at the top of the table because their owners spend limitless amounts of cash.

That's not based on performance, it's based on marketability.

Yeah but then we would have a worse team the the nets from whoever came up from the d league. Can you say 0-82?
