So we're probably playing first round against Memphis or Minnesota. Naturally, I prefer Memphis.

The twin towers of Chet and IH are going to dominate the playoffs. My preference would be Dallas win their two games to be the 8 seed and OKC get revenge for last year.

would be nice to give him some playing time in the first round IF we are winning easily but I don't like the odds of a rookie coming back from a big injury having a good impact in the postseason.

I would say it is the most stressful postseason ever from a Thunder fan perspective (maybe 2013 was close to it) and the most anteciped one since 2016 (we were very good but less pressure because of GSW 73 wins team and the Spurs were elite too).

Still insane to me that we won 67 or 68 games with Hartenstein injury, then Chet out for months, Caruso playing something like 60% of games and us resting our starters in a lot of games recently. It shows just how great of a team building Coach D and his staff has done (and obviously how good SGA is).

crazy that only one pick might convey (Clippers one). I'm not even sure I want that Heat unprotected pick next season..Miami is just too well coached to finish with a bottom record and they will likely add some pieces in the offseason.

We've laid the tracks for being an All-Time-Great team with our RS performance. I really look forward to see us continue that form throughout the playoffs but... it will be a tough road. The West is stacked. Though GSW could be our R1 opponent, I am nearly sure they will win v Memphis (as a sig favourite) and play HOU on that side.

So, MEM SAC DAL likely R1 opponents from my assumption. I am not that worried in a series against either 3. Sac, no. DAL, no. MEM, maybe they get 1 game, but no, too inefficient.

R2 opponents are Clips or Nuggets, both of which pose major challenges. We did alright vs both in the RS, but Clippers have Kawhi on the "activate playoff mode until broken" switch, so they are just as dangerous as ever. I don't think our RS record vs LAC is indicative for that reason.

WCF opponents can range wildly between the winner of the LAL/MIN series which is massive.

If I'm the NBA script writer, a LAL / GSW second round series is a dream. I think either way, WCF will be a very difficult matchup for us whoever ends up there.

I know this is a stressful time for everyone, but I'm very thankful we had a great year. Some of the best basketball from one team (consistently) that I've seen and if we don't get in our own way (Turnovers, long periods of offensive nervousness) we have the tools to win 16 games in this playoffs. If not, we're still set up for a great multi-year run. Hoping for the best! Let's go!
Cheers

That Cason pick...just saw the 2023 NBA draft order again and after the obvious Wemby/Miller/Scoot/twin thompsons I think Cason has a really good shot to be the best one of the rest of the draft (obviously still too early after two seasons). He's also such a great fit to our squad.

I just wanted to avoid the Lakers before WCF. It's gonna take a lot of energy from Luka/Lebron to go to the WCF so I'm less worried about playing them there even if I don't like the match up. I think the Nuggets are likely our toughest opponent in the West (I think the Clippers are legit but still worried about Jokic and Murray coming back stronger).

First round match-up are likely the Memphis Grizzlies.

don't know about that. warriors looked really tired yesterday and Jimmy Butler got hurt in the last minutes.

we should be thankful that the clippers got the nuggets. they are fully equipped to knock jokic out and the nuggets were imo by far the hardest challenge in this regular season. jokic just cracked the code on offense and his passing game is very much the perfect counter to our defensive style: be aggressive and go force turnovers (thunder's identity) or stay put and avoid leaving shooters wide open for uncanny passes? doncic poses a similar challenge to a lesser extent (he takes worse shots and is less consistent).

minnesota timberwolves are imo a finals pick sleeper. must be the best value bet in this playoffs imo.
