Ukic and Bargniani for Wilcox?
Oh man, you're funnier then Chapelle.
So far this season, Bargs is averaging 12.2 pts, 4.9 rebs, and 1.5 blks on 47.3% for the feild, 45.7% from 3 and 92.9% from the line in 28 mins per game. Those numbers include when he was a sub for the first 8 games of the season where he averaged 9.4 pts, 4.0 rebs and 1.6 blks. To get a better sense of the player that Bargs has evolved into, you need to look at his averages as a starter where he's getting 16.0 pts, 6.2 rebs, 1.3 blks and 2 asts as a our starting SF. He's finally breaking out, and you think all he's worth is Chris Wilcox. We just got offered Gerald Wallace for him and turned that deal down. The only way you guys would be getting Bargs from us is either Durant straight up or Green and your first pick this year. And the stats don't even tell it all. Bargs has gained a post game and has turned into a REALLY good defender. But I guess that's about the value of Chris Wilcox, eh?

I agree that both, the Raptors should keep Bargs, and that the Thunder have no interest in giving up market value for the guy. That's about all it comes down to. We don't have enough assets to consider a trade like this at this point... Maybe if the Raptors were really down on him and could pull off something like a Wilcox for him and hope that we hit a homerun. However, I think if that's the kind of deal we want, it's going to have to be a little higher risk to get that type of reward with our current available players.

If you guys want Bargnani you gone have to give up Durant or Green+ One of your young Bigs... Something like Bargnani for Green + Sene or Petro .

Like I said... I think that's understood and therefore, we aren't interested :)

Durant's obviously not being traded. Green could leave at some point, but it would be for a scoring SG or a true Center.

I don't think we have enough talent to spare to make that trade work, honestly.

Also, I don't believe the chatter that Bargnani is a bust or anything, but I haven't seen enough of him to be sure that think he's a good fit with the Sonic's current roster. Sometimes it's about a complimentary set of talents. If we made the decision to run and gun, sure, he might work well as at the PF position with Durant at SF. But I'd also like to see a PF who can post up and make a nice interior pass to a cutting Durant. From what I've seen, Bargnani has a lot of upside, but he's not a gifted passer out of the post (And don't just say he's a good passer because he's a Euro).

bargs for westbrook would be great for the raps and a risk for the thunder...i loved westbrook in college and he is my favourite rookie, his defense is great, his shot and handling ability is getting better, he has some swagger to his game and he is a crazy athlete...

bargnani couldbecome an all-star, or he could become a good sixth man in the nba, i doubt anything lower than a good bench player/borderline starter.

his defense has been fantastic (4 blocks against utah on friday) this season, his shooting has been inconsistent but from mid-range he's money, he sometimes rushes his threes, but he knows when to put the ball on the floor and drive and do it successfully.

lol, collison for bargnani is funny tho.

ill put it in perspectice, bryan colangelo declined an offer centered around

gerald wallace for bargnani, so now u know where his value is basically.

but i woul do westbrook for bargnani in a heartbeat

As a raps fan, I would love a Bargnani for Green swap.

For me that really doesn't work. Honestly, at this point, I consider Green the best player on the team. Numbers might not indicate that, but I feel like he provides more than Durant right now. Definitely not saying he's WORTH more, but just that he gives the team more currently. Bargs doesn't really do much for me. I've seen a couple of his games this year, and while he has an interesting mix of skills, he often looks lost and just not really on the same level with the truly up and coming young guys (including Green). Bargs may get it together at some point, but for now, I don't really see that being a risk I would even consider.

You should do Mason for Bargs - Bargs wouldn't be under the pressure he is in in Toronto ( I swear, some of them think he is the second coming talent-wise) and does have a decent outside shot for a frontcourt player, and the Raps need backcourt help. I really believe if Bargs is to develop, it has to be somewhere other than Toronto. Btw, they should bring back Delfino as long as there is an understanding he won't chuck up the shots like he used to.

I would be happy to have a gamble on Bargs but Raps fans want a lot for him and its a lot more than hes worth.Bargs is still a gamble so any of expirings I would do but doubt Raps fans will agree. They want Green and I can see why but Greens worth far more and aint going nowhere yet.

I agree about them over-valuing Bargs - they (most) appear to think that because he was a 1st pick, he's worth more than what his contract says. Meanwhile, he will continue to flounder up there. I see him as a decent player - like a 3rd option on a really good team, eventually - but sure not a player in which to build a team around.

Btw, I drove through Oklahoma City on Christmas Eve - any local from there can tell me how to get to the stadium from the interstate? It's approx. a 6 hour drive from where I live, but it's still closer than any other NBA city.

The stadium is just off of I-40 right in the middle of the city. It is just to the north of I-40 (you can easily spot it while heading either direction).
