Well I think between now and the start of next season this is where Presti is going to make his money.

Typically SG should be one of the easiest positions to fill. And can be put on the back burner. How many guys are on an NBA bench that can get you 15pts a game if given minutes to? How often does a guy come from Europe or the D league and manages to find a nitch?

So Presti has already tried to find a solution with Nenad. Maybe the Nad pans out? But 8 mil a year should be able to entice a defensive minded center to OKC at least you would hope. I still think landing free agents in OKC is going to be their biggest obstacle. Especially when the team is just bad.

Sure the Spurs are able to land guys but that's because they are always playing for a title. At least until Duncan retires.

I guess you would know this more than I but I can't imagine that fans are clamoring for a winner in OKC just yet. I think if they flirt with the playoffs next season that would more than fulfill expectations from the fans.

Sure no one likes to lose but Presti still has plenty of time to build a team.

And by the way just simply get that idea of trading Durant out of your head. You don't trade a player of Durants caliber only unless he absolutely demands one. It's a star driven league. And once you have decent supporting cast around Durant the kid is going to be an unstoppable force.

Unlike baseball and football, in basketball one player can truly dominate the game.

Heck he already is and he is still skinny. More good news is that he put on 15 pounds last off season. Show he has shown he can gain weight. Two, three years down the road he will have filled out and the proper pieces will be in place.

I think Presti will turn a few of our expirings or even Watson and Collison into a solid starter SG or young prospect SG before the deadline.I have a feeling Hinrich could end up being dealt to OKC very cheap considering his contract.I know hes a point but hes a very decent one with defensive ability that could be gained for virtually nothing. We also have free agency and Ben Gordon. But back to the draft we could take Harden but that gives us another very young and inexperienced squad again next season.OKC are rebuilding but it would be nice to win a lot more games this can be done by putting a bit quality experience in the team.

My draft picks for OKC if avaliable 1.Griffin 2.Rubio 3.Monroe 4.Harden 5.Thabeet.

I don't understand Rubio pick really, OKC just drafted Westbrook at 4. So who will be the back up then?
Griffin and Monroe both seem ok, I'm not all that sold on thabeet, can Thunder take another big risk player?

Lets say the the Thunder didn't get the number 1 overall pick, what would you give up to get him?

I could see them going as far as to give up their other 1st rounder (so maybe something like 2nd-4th pick and ~23rd pick for the 1st overall). It obviously depends a lot on who ended up with #1 and what their situation was too. The only thing off of the table would most likely be the green/durant/westbrook trio...

Im a Wolves fan, and I was thinking what if the Wolves got the number 1

I would actually much rather keep Blake Griffin and try to trade Kevin Love, but lets just say the Wolves offered Foye, #1 pick, Utah or Boston 1st rounder, for the Oklahoma pick(2 or 3) and Westbrook.

THunder Out: Westbrook, #2 or #3 pick
Thunder In: Foye,#1, Utah or Boston Pick

Im under the assumption that you guys really value Blake Griffin a lot, since he plays for Oklahoma and is the obvious #1 pick, Foye is a downgrade from Westbrook, but Foye has been starting to turn it on ever since december.

Then maybe with the Boston or Utah picks you could package one of those with the other pick your were talking about and move up again in the draft

Id personally just keep the pick and take Monroe or Harden.Dont want Foye or Love.Cant see Mchale trading Love after he gave up Mayo for him.

Rubio could then be traded for a lower pick ie Mayo pick for Wolves last year.Or move westbrook to SG.Too much talent to pass on with Rubio.

Mchale isn't in charge anymore. So hopefully we stop trading away our good players.

Badwolf, I completely agree with you. I have brought up the question about getting a 2 or 5 with that pick before. It's not that I dont like Griffin, it's just they have other needs. I imagine they can make it work though. They do need someone off the bench that can score so he would definitely fit that.
