If we draft Griffin then I would say that Green should eventually be moved to the 6th man role. Then let those three play together for short stretches. They need someone who can created points off the bench so moving Green there should work.

I think that, especially as of late, Green is way too talented and is not the right guy to bring off of the bench. Usually if you've got one of the top few players on your team coming off of the bench, it is in the role of a spark-plug scorer or an energy post player that can backup the 4/5. Green is a pretty prototypical starter in every way. With his improved range of late, it is possible that he could compliment Durant and Westbrook pretty nicely at the 2. The things that would be needed for this to happen would be Green continuing to improve his 3pt range, Durant getting better at driving to the bucket, and Westbrook just developing into a pg (which needs to happen anyways).

I just think that if the solution is brining Durant or Green (or potentially Griffin) off of the bench, then the real solution is trading one of them. If it's to the point where they just can't develop into a lineup that will work, this team has too many holes to fill to bring a guy like Green off of the bench.

I dont know if he would fit well at the 2. I think Durant would be a better fit than him there. The only reason I suggest bringing him off the bench is because they dont have that spark plug scorer off the bench. I agree that he is a starter. Like someone else said in one of the other threads that Green and Durant dont play well off each other and too often its give the ball to one to try and score and then vice versa. This would enable them both to get touches.

Some of you guys are crazy. KD at the 2 was NOT working. It was pretty much unanimous on this board that he get switched back to his natural position and now you are thinking about putting him back there if you get Blake Griffin. Obviously if you get the 1st pick, you draft Blake. Start him at the 5 and run a fast paced offense. I'm sure everyone here agrees this team is not going to be competitive for at least a few years. So take the losses and keep stock piling the draft picks with a solid core of Griffin, Green, and Durant in your front court and Russell running the show.

Definitely! Not like the team is amazing or anything like that right now, but they continue to look better every week even. Last night was a pretty impressive performance. The crowd absolutely exploded after the Durant to Green alley-oop in the 4th!

Still have a ways to go though. When they're playing well, sometimes I feel like it is because the ball is bouncing the right way. There still isn't a consistent offense that produces, it's can we get a fast break or make some spectacular play/shot. Some of it is due to youth/inexperience, some of it to lack of talent, and some of it to Earl Watson dribbling out about 15 seconds of the shot clock each possession.
