I was hoping to see Chandler also.

But for some reason all of this doesn't add up.

Either Presti has a plan and when the memo came out that they were planning on lowering the cap and luxury tax that screwed it up and they'd be too far over the tax..

Or they simply had buyer's remorse paying for a guy who is making 12mil and only grabbing 8pts and 8rebs and doesn't look like his toe will heal, which might mean he never comes back to form.

One things for sure is that they NEED a shot blocker in the paint.

Collison is a great 6th man not a starting center.

Cross your fingers for Thabeet.

It is strange, but a serious alarm bell had to start ringing at some point. We were getting him at such a small price, you have to think that something significant came up in the physical.

Well it was really hard for me to come around. I've been an avid hoops fan for the last 20 years.

Pretty much I hate Clay, Stern, Howard, Wally, The Governor, and Seattle City counsel.

But I love the game.

It wasn't my choice to move the team, I simply didn't have an extra 400mil lying around in my bank account with nothing to spend it on.

And yeah I feel like the city of Seattle got ripped off. But still they could have built a new arena. Or they could have played hard ball and told Stern and Bennett to "F" themselves on the buy out. And made Clay stick out the lease until the end of the 2010 season to see what happened. A lease is a lease. But the Mayor is a big pussy.

Curious to know if they made Clay stay how much money would he have lost this past year and next? I know Aubrey lost his shorts recently. All of a sudden their deep pockets aren't so deep. I think if they would have refused the buy out. There is a good chance they would have sold the team to Balmer, considering the present economy. Upsets me just thinking about it.

But I came to the conclusion until the City of Seattle steps up to land a new team, I'm going to keep following the team I grew up with. Well sort of. They look a lot different and they play no where near Seattle but you get the point.

Good to hear man. Always enjoy checking out your opinions on stuff!

I would hope, of course, that there's no hard feelings between the actual people of Seattle and the people of OKC. Outside of that, the hate directed at whoever is at fault is completely understandable (as long as it doesn't violate the board's user policy, haha). It's no secret that the Seattle fans make up a lot of the activity on this board, and I always appreciate the perspective.

I have nothing against the people of OKC, I'd be excited if an NBA team rolled into my town too.

I don't like the way it happened but the typical fan has no say on how they get or lose their team.

And I hate Clay but there were more people involved in this fiasco than just Clay. Plenty of blame can be passed around to all parties.

But really with how the economy is now I think in a year or two someone will be begging Balmer to take a team off their hands. And it will be a Milwaukee, Jersey, Memphis, or New Orleans. All the small market teams.

It just sucks that Seattle finally had a legit stud in Durant and a great GM and now they are gone.

I didn't say that! You're putting wiff's words in my mouth! I might agree with it, but you can't just make me say it :P
