Bosh is looking like a frontrunner (maybe not THE frontrunner) to be the very best player in the league at his position. Wouldn't you rather partner that with Durant?
Green is a very nice player, but he's light years away from being the best power forward in the league....and their age difference really isn't that great.
Bosh for Durant?

If he is so good why are you trying to shove him onto us?
Wouldn't you rather spend your time trying to figure a way to keep him?

Re: Bosh for Durant?
You know at first I thought, I like Green but I'd give up Green for Bosh. But the more I think about it the more I don't like it. AT ALL!
Bosh is turning 25 in about two weeks.
Green doesn't turn 23 until the end of August.
So Green is younger by a couple of years, and considering this house is built around the foundation known as Durant I'm still looking for younger players.
But to me this is the big kicker, salaries. As we all know NBA teams are losing a ton of money. Personally I would love to see Clay lose money but as a responsible GM it's my job to make sure you put a team on the floor that makes money.
Jeff Green salary for the rest of his rookie contract.
3.5mil next year
4.4mil 2010/11 season
5.9mil 2011/12
a total of 13.8mil
Chris Bosh salary for the rest of his contract
15.7mil next season
17.1mil if he chooses not to opt out (not happening)
Green's numbers 17pts 7rebs and 2dime and keeps improving every month. Feb he averaged 20.5pts and 9.5rebs.
Bosh 22.5pts, 9.5rebs and 2.4dimes.
Even with Green playing his best basketball he isn't the player Bosh is. I have no problem conceding that point.
And of course OKC fans know that Green's numbers overall have gone up quite a bit since the slow start and since he has been moved to PF.
So really Green's numbers are 18.3pts, 7.75rebs and 2dimes a game.
So the 12.2million dollar question is how much is basically 4pts and 2rebs a game worth???
Plus Toronto wants OKC's first too.
Me personally I'd keep the much cheaper Green who is improving and putting up numbers that are some what comparable to Bosh and use the 12.2million to pay for the top 5 draft pick.
That should be somewhere under the 4.8mil range that Derrick Rose is being paid this season so that leaves 7.4mil to pay for a free agent.
So basically it's a swap of Green, top 5 pick, and a free agent(probably sign at least a two year deal) for Bosh for ONE year. But even if he was extended I still wouldn't do it.
I know it's about winning but it's also about making money, or not losing money especially with this crap economy.

Check out the Bosh for Durant thread.
Actually he doesn't have a really high value considering he is only signed for next year.
