Desmond Mason
How good is he? can he play D, shoot or rebound? all i know is that he can dunk but jacked up his knee last year so he probably can't do that anymore. you guys think he can help a team out?

Re: Desmond Mason
He was horrible last year even before he got hurt. Didn't really do anything productive aside from rebound. He is a character guy and a great teammate, but what little game he had through his career was thanks to athleticism that has faded quickly and will now be even further compromised..

Re: Desmond Mason
I think he could be an effective guy as the 4th wing player on a team if he's allowed to stay in his role. He seems to be an effective enough defender and rebounder. As far as shooting, you need to look elsewhere. At one point in his career he seemed to have found at least a mid range game, but most of that was gone last season.
The other thing I have to say is that the basketball that the Thunder were playing for all but the last few games that Mason played last season was SO bad that it is hard to see much good in anyone (even Durant didn't look good to me).
