Random Sightings

Post#1 » by wizkid27 » Wed Sep 23, 2009 12:44 am

So, yesterday I was flying from Indianapolis (my hometown) to OKC (where I live now). On my ridiculously planned layover in Baltimore I realized that several Thunder players were sitting there waiting to get on the same flight as me. Not really sure what they were doing around the Baltimore/DC area, but I thought it was pretty cool to see Kyle Weaver, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and Serge Ibaka there. There were also a couple of other guys that I didn't recognize off the top of my head.

All of the guys seemed to be really nice and really dealt with all of the fans that talked to them really well. You could really tell that these were all 19-22 year old kids hanging out (something that isn't very apparent when watching them on the court).

Another time I saw Byron Mullens in the OKC airport (just like the day after the draft).

Anybody else had any random Thunder player sightings around town or elsewhere?

Green went to Georgetown, so I get that connection... but I didn't know that Durant had any link to DC?

I think they celebrated Durant's birthday in DC that's why a lot of Thunder players were there. That's what I got out of the twitter updates they do.

I saw Mason at the Starbucks a block away from the arena, but running into Blake Griffin at the Apple store in Penn is my best so far. :D
