Thunder @ Pistons POG

Post#1 » by wizkid27 » Sat Oct 31, 2009 4:02 am

This was a pretty solid team performance in which I didn't really see one guy (or group of guys) that dominated the game. That said, a lot of player stepped up and almost everyone hustled like crazy.

Player (Points/Rebounds/Assists)
Durant (25/12/1)
Westbrook (10/5/10)
Green (16/4/2)
Collison (8/8/0)

KD had a poor shooting night but he had a clutch fourth quarter making shots when we needed them. Still tough to watch him try to stay in front of his man when Detroit went small though :(

Collison was great though too, and Etan Thomas' defense inside set the tone in the second half. We haven't had that from anyone in awhile.

Durant looked good except his shot was off, and 1 play at the end of the half. Westbrook looked great at times but also had some head scratching moments. I'll live with them because he is obviously improving in that area. Green wasn't good in the 1st half, but looked better in the 2nd half. Collison played very well but didnt play enough to get POG IMO.

Ill go with................................Durant.

1 other thing I didn't like was we seemed to foul way to much at the end of the game, we let them penetrate and get free throws it seemed for 10 straight possessions.

jeff green was a little off but then again we cant really ask for him to repeat what he did in the season opened

russell is assisting beautifully and i couldnt have asked for better improvement, it definitely helps having big men that get big inside (ETAN!)

kevin durant was a widdle off today but he made them when they counted and he is defending better

james harden showed a glimpse of what he can do. im very excited about him

thabo is a niece piece and i love having him on this team played good D, ben gordon was just on crazy mode today

thunder are looking great i cant wait to see how they do this season
and to you guys that say it was against crappy teams. hi haters

Durant 25 and freakin 12. So he didn't shoot great he still got 25 and 12 plus the win.

Just watched the game.

Very solid game by Westbrook. Sometimes he's still to speedy, but the improvement is there ,that's for sure.
Liked what I saw from Kirstic and Thabo. They both had timely contributions, good D by Thabo, good mid range shooting by Nenad.
Loved Harden playmaking. Yeah,he seems really shy looking for his shoot now, but he can bring a lot on the team with the playmaking and so.
I would like to see Green spend more time on the block, especially with Nenad in the game, that spaces the D.
And good to see that the team can win without Durant having to score 40 or so.
Huge, huge game against Portland coming.
