Okafor?

Post#1 » by london sonic » Mon Nov 16, 2009 11:40 am

With The Hornets looking to offload Okafor and his contract surely Presti might be tempted to add this defensive big to the young team hes built.Okafor adds what OKC need but that large contract could be just to big for him to pull the trigger, especially with the 2010 draft looking stacked with bigs.Maybe this trade could be a risk but see what you think.

E.OKafor and H.Armstrong for E.Thomas and N.Collison.

OKC add Okafor and expring for Etans expiring and Collison a solid and cheaper big for the Hornets.

He is not worth the cap space that will be lost. I think signing Bosh or Amare to the Max deal is beter that Okfor.

I still think Tyson Chandler would have been a great fit. If he doesn't miss a minimum of 20 games this year because of that foot I'm going to cry.

forget bosh and amare and stop being fools

bosh is not going to leave his team for sure, toronto is going nowhere but up i guess so are we but toronto is already in the playoffs, he does not want to take a step back and plus i dont think presti would do it

suns are monsters right now, i dont think stoudamire is going anywhere

we dont need like a superstar center we just need someone who comes day in and day out and hustles rebounds and is efficient. okafor would be a good fit for this team in my opinion, maybe his contract is a little large but i think if we dont get him were not gonna do much better than him next year

Presti is gonna have to think hard about this one. It would definitely be an upgrade. While we do need an inside defensive presence, we also need at least some sort of inside scoring presence. Im not really familiar with his game, but can he score down low? He has pretty nice scoring stats. 13.9 career average.

If he can, I say go for it. The more I think about it, the more it sounds like a great idea. I would still draft a young center this summer though.

not sure New Orleans would just use Hilton as a throwaway. And personally i really like what i've seen from Thomas, hustle rebounding and good defence. I remember that Sac game he was the only one trying to rebound, and i think taking him off the court lost us the game.
All that said Okafor would be perfect in the middle for us, and to use as a compliment with Krstic and Green playing at PF.
