Thunder waive Bowen

Post#1 » by dream_catcher_9 » Thu Nov 26, 2009 1:55 am

http://www.nba.com/thunder/news/bowen_r ... 91125.html

Roster is now at 14 players. It's kind of surprising they would do this right after he played vs the Lakers, and the day before Thanksgiving. Not to mention he is a vet.

It must be because Presti is going to sign/trade someone soon, or he pissed off somebody.

I think Presti is looking for another guard.

Livvy injured
ollie apparently injured
Weaver was injured in practice today (or yesterday)
if another guard goes down we are shafted, we need another one signed soon if these injuries are anything more than a game or 2

Close......................................Mike Wilks!

Welcome back Mike. He did a good job for the team when he was in Seattle. He never got a lot of minutes but he always put out a solid effort and was pretty effective.

Wilks is a passable third string point guard. The only other FA PG I can think of that's available who is much better is Antonio Daniels, or maybe Brevin Knight.

yeah both are better. To be honest Slick I was hoping for a nice trade for a second string to take over from Ollie permanantley.

I remember him having a couple of big games (20 points, 8 assists) back in April '07 when he was a Sonic.
