Re: Jeff Green Thread
For a while now I've been a big Jeff Green fan, I feel like he does a lot to create mismatches for our team and has a solid all-around game with no big weaknesses. Seems he's in a pretty big slump right now, but if he can get to around 16 and 8, I'm completely fine with him staring. All that takes is getting after the boards a bit more and getting out of the shooting slump and back to anywhere close to his 3pt % from last year. We don't need him to be a star, but if we're staring Thabo, Kristic, and Westbrook around Durant, we do need another versatile scorer, and Green fills that pretty well.

He played great defense, but so did the rest of the team. But he was 5-13 from the floor and wasn't that great on offense.. one good play does not a season make.

whats good
i dont post here much but i been repping the thunder on sohh for a minute
If the Thunder can get a defensive anchor at the center position, Green and Durant can work (like hedo and rashard lewis)

The Hedo/Lewis is fine and all I guess... however, this is the same pair of guys that couldn't pull off a title while playing with a lot of depth and potentially the best center in the game (Howard). I would hope that Green, Durant along with Howard could win a title with a solid complimenting cast

Offer Green + Thabo for Millsap & I (on behalf of the Jazz) would consider it.

I would be pretty pissed if they traded for Milsap. Didn't understand why they didn't just offer him a contract over the summer.

Re: Jeff Green Thread
Thought it's time for a Jeff Green update.
Uncle Jeff has been smoking offensively since February 1st (oddly enough, the last post in this thread). In those 28 games, Green is shooting great from the floor - 47.5% overall, 42% from three point range. His TS% during this time is a very healthy 56.7%. For perspective, that figure over the course of a season would be higher than Carmelo Anthony, Zach Randolph, and David West.
His TS% for the season is now back around where it was last season, and comparable to Josh Smith, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Lamar Odom; players who are considered better scorers than Jeff Green.
Green is still a mediocre rebounder, and presents problems defensively against certain PF's; but I'm willing to say that offensively he's really made strides and probably isn't a huge hinderance to our success on that end as a starting PF. I'd go so far as to say recently he's been a huge key to our resurgence offensively.
I'd really, REALLY like to see how Green could do playing in a front court with a better center than Krstic.

Re: Jeff Green Thread
i was one of the biggest jeff green bashers at the beginning of the season simply because i thought he could do better.. and right now he is doing better and this team is rolling baby!
since Green in an undersized PF putting him next to a shot blocking center or just an inside presence would allow us to play to his strengths a whole lot more. or also jeff green is doing a lot better too i notice is because hes getting time with the second unit. i also like what i see there because jeff green is a starting caliber player and he just abuses other team's benches when hes out there.
also when hes hitting that 3 consistently as hes been doing lately jeff green is almost the most dangerous guy on our team, jeff greens versatility is really great and i hope he keeps doing what hes doing

dude made 2 more clutch buckets tonight in the loss. I'm beginning to wonder if we should start going to him more to end games.

Re: Jeff Green Thread
If I was the Thunder's Gm, I wouldnt break up the Harden, Durant, Green, Westbrook partnership. that would ruin team chemistry. I dont really know much abuout the Thunder, but what if you guys started Ibaka?
C: Ibaka
PF: Krstic
SF: Durant
SG: Harden/Thabo
PG: Westbrook
6th Man: Green
Krstic has a good mid range jumper, and he has a big frame. teaming him up with the atleticism of Ibaka and your starting 5 is evry versitle.
I really like Ibaka, which pisses me off because you guys got him with our Sun's first rounder. ibaka is EXACTLY the kind of player we need right now.
