Wolves Fan... Jeff Green?

Post#1 » by Buckets19 » Sat Apr 17, 2010 8:52 pm

Would you a take K. Love for J. Green swap?

As a Wolves fan, I think it'd be a win/win for both sides. Reunite Westbrook and Love and give you a low post rebounder with all of your scorers.

For us, we need to follow the OKC model and get more athletic.

I would but I'm sure a lot of others here wouldn't.

I'd like to see how Green plays in the playoffs before committing one way or another.

Kevin Love is becoming more of a shooter than an inside scorer. I don't like the fact that he's taking more and more threes. We already have Krstic taking 20 foot jumpers. On top of that he's undersized, not that athletic, has short arms, does not block shots (Jason Kidd averaged more blocks than Love) and is a horrible defender. He's Santa Claus on D, gift wrapping layups, tip-ins, dunks, hook shots, floaters, you name it. He'll give you what you wish for.

He's not a right fit for this team. I actually think he's going to be the type of player that is going to put up huge numbers on losing teams his whole career. He does a lot of good things but is too much of a liability.

Wow, Kevin Love is under sized? Since when? He's perfectly adequate for PF. I dunno where you get the idea he has short arms, he's got an 8'10" reach which is about average for an NBA PF.

I dunno, I think Love could be a great fit. Defense is about effort and buying into a system, that wouldn't be a problem on our team. And he's fantastic on offense, a great passer, sets good screens, can shoot the ball better than Jeff Green. Great rebounder, of course.

I'd take Love...

What about a package involving Al for J. Green? Any interest there?

Those of you who are on board with Love, I think you'd be really happy with that trade. Love is a monster on the boards, sets screens well, shoots well, but best of all, he's a great passer.

Love would be a difference maker in the post. Our Gasol/Bynum stopper. His 0.4 shot blocking average, lack of athleticism and explosivenes, tendency to shoot perimeter shots and him getting blocked twenty times a game is EXACTLY what we need from our big men.

This is not a Jeff Green vs Kevin Love issue, Green is a natural three playing the four, I don't like him as our four. This is about getting the right pieces in return and I just don't see it with Love.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, of course.
