restriced Free agent this summer I believe.
I think he'd be a good get. Good post game, good %'s decent defense. Decent Rebounder. Will probably garner Less attention that David Lee and IMO bring just a as good a game if not better
. The Rockets would likely match but maybe they won't?

Problem is if you sign Scola to an offer sheet, the Rockets will take the maximum time (seven days) to match. And you can't spend that money while the Rockets are deciding... so if Scola signs and the Rockets match, we could see half the free agent pool gone before we can even get anyone else contract offers.
I think the Rockets match anything for him, though, unless they try to get one of the big time PF's in a trade.

That was my thoughts too. 7 days could be enough time for there still being a few options left, because most of the Big F/A will go first and be hunted by the teams with space. and the second tier guys like Scola will go in the second "wave" I would think. (depends who stay and who looks around I guess.
