I thought we'd be giving up Green in the trade. I didn't see the og trade in the trade sections so what was it ? I was thinking it would be a package involving Green the 2 1st rounders and either Collison or Kristic

No Chance in HELL the Thunder would trade Green in a Deal that would bring back Brand and $50 million!

Again what was the deal I do not see it posted in this thread. I thought Brand at the #2 For Green one of our 1st round picks and Kristic or Collison

My tought process is Brand and Cousins for nothing (ie. Paccelis Morlende). The Thunder are taking on $50 million for Cousins. That is a lot to take on!

I was thinking the #21 for Brand and the #2. I'd be willing to throw Krystic if Philly wanted him.

But I know Philly fan expects a package of Harden and Ibaka for Brand and the #2 but obviously that isn't going to happen.

Considering OKC would have to basically eat 50mil no way would I send back anything of real value.

#21??????

Really? and Krstic? No WAY! No HOW!

The Thunder could have had David Lee last season if they took on Eddy Curry's $15 million. They decided aganist it and they said they will take their stand in free agency. Thereis no Chance in Hell the Thunder make this trade for Cusions w/ Elton Brand in the Deal. It is just not going to happen.

But, if by chance Sam Presti belived Cusions is the Next Big Thing! There is no chance that Sam would Deal any of his core players (Krstic) for $50 million! Kristic has value to this team. He is not your Dream Center. But, he adds value to this team.

Krystic is not a core player.

Yes he is. It would be extreamly foolish to move him for nothing. He is a younger 7 footer who can give a team 15 to 25 quality min's!!!

Define: 'quality'. Krstic is decent at some things, but when it comes to traditional performance you'd expect from a starting center (high efficiency scoring, rebounding, defense) he is near the bottom of his peer group at nearly all of them. He's a smart player, though, and is very helpful when he's hitting shots.

Traditional Centers are extreamly hard to come by. Even when you find decent ones they are prone to injuries. We can't just more Krstic just to move him. He is 26 year old smart vet who the team can re-sign because of the mutural respect between Krstic and Sam. It is 100% silly to trade a legit smart 7 footer if we rent getting one back.

Krstic is really only needed to give bigger mins aganist teams w/ a true center (Ie. Howard, Bynum, Oden, an thoes types of traditional centers in the league)

Nenad is not part of the core. He was a cheap stop gap. Once he expires he's gone. He is a soft jump shooting big who play's less than mediocre D. Although he tries at least. Nenad is gone at the trade deadline if not sooner.

Yep , but I wouldn't mind keeping Nenad if we had a better starter at C. His offense ability helps keep the floor spreaded for Russ to penetrate and creates space for KD to do his thing .

Dude, no need to shout. Doesn't matter how loud you shout, doesn't change the fact that Nenad is not part of the core.

In order to be part of the core you need to be part of the fututre.

I don't consider Collison to be the core either and he was a Sonic for four years.

Core members are Durant and Westbrook obviousy and guys who management has indicated they want around by drafting them or re-signing them ala Harden, Ibaka and Thabo.

Durant, Westbrook, Harden, Thabo, Ibaka. The rest of the team is a big maybe.

You know what value Krstic has to this team? Ultimately he is part of a 12.55million dollar expiring contract with Collison that Durant is going to add to his paycheck after next season.

Meaning as soon as we can find an upgrade he is fine. Core are the blokes we don't need the upgrade on.

That is why are trying to trade Krstic for Cousins.

I think Krispy and the 21st would be more than enough for Brand and Cousins. Sam might toss in the 26th just to have one less guaranteed contract. Perhaps we could work a deal for another 1st round pick two or three years down the road.

Oh yeah, Krstic is not core.

Do you know the definiton of "core" because it doesnt seem like it. Core players are a group of guys that you can build a team around for the future, nenad is a role player and can easily be replaced

Return to Oklahoma City Thunder
