Amare and Harden in Tempe

Post#1 » by mavfan12 » Fri Jun 11, 2010 1:38 am

Hey guys, just wanted to know what you think about the possibility of Amare to OKC. I just graduated from ASU and still live in Tempe. This last week I saw Amare and Harden at a bar in Tempe near ASU. I know Harden's underage, but it was also one of those campus bars known to be sketch on underage drinking. Maybe a little recruiting job by Harden? What do you think?

Amare is looking for a max contract he does not deserve. He refuses to play defense and is a horrible rebounder, I definitely wouldn't want him on this team.

But really, why would Harden be doing the recruiting? That would be a job for Durant.

I'd agree that he'd definitely prefer a big city. One of these free agents could realize that you guys are only one quality big man away from becoming an instant contender. Not to mention the draft picks you have this year. I'd be shocked if Harden didn't mention that, not that it's necessarily gonna land Amare.

I completely agree he's undeserving and seems very uninterested in anything but his STAT line. That said, if it took a max contract to get him to OKC I think they'd do it. Not sure where Durant trains in the offseason, but Harden's in Phoenix/Tempe a lot. Not to mention the stir KD and Amare going out here would cause.

No thanks. If OKC truly thought Amare was an option they could trade thier first for a second round pick and give Amare the max.

But Amare and Bosh and every other max free agent isn't going to want to go play in OKC.

doesn't make sense on either standpoints.
OKC won't want a big who doesn't defend well or even attempt to rebound.
Amar'e won't go to a city which is not popular.

Amare would agree to go to my basement if I offered him max contract and promised to treat him like a superstar. Too bad OKC cannot do any of these.
