Mullens progress report

Mullens also hasn't taken any time off since last season ended. It's gotten to a point where Thunder bosses are pleading for Mullens to take a breather.

"They're telling me to take a vacation in August," the 21-year-old Mullens said with a smile. "I probably should, but I don't know.

"He's got the right attitude," 66ers coach Nate Tibbetts said of Mullen. "That's the way he needs to continue to approach it. He brought a professional approach to practice every day, coming in early, working on his game. He really bought into being in Tulsa. With us, he got to feel comfortable and gain some confidence. He's got a beautiful shot and he's not limited. He's very comfortable facing up.

"He's still a young guy. He's still trying to figure out who he is. If I were to tell you what he can and cannot do, in three years it might be way different. If he can focus on defense and rebounding, it's really going to help him."

well damn I hope he works as hard as it sounds like

if he can learn to crash the boards and defend and with his jumpshot keeping him from being useless on offense he could be a rotation guy

not sure about his bbiq but the athleticism and size is there, if he's got heart then he might be exactly what we need in a couple years

Mullens has talked the talk this offseason but talk is cheap. Used to be a guy named Vin Baker who said he was coming back in shape every year and never did. I want to believe Mullens is working on all the right things and will be a rotation player in the NBA but he's just got such a long way to go from what I saw this season.

It's a great sign.

slick, it's time to let the healing begin. Vin Baker can't hurt you any more. :D

Sometimes at night when I close my eyes to sleep I can still see his neck rolls...

Slick what about Rashard promising every year to come back a better rebounder? That still gives me night sweats.

I can see it, in that they're both kind of goofy and awkward looking.

Muresan distinguished himself with a great personality and an understanding of how to use his size and skill set.

This is good news.

If the kid truly is a tireless worker, it's hard to imagine he won't at least be a rotation player.

Did Presti send a message to Mullens on draft day?

I think that it's a message to Nenad Krstic. The message is: you will not get minutes here, opt out and sign somewhere else.

I hope so, anyway.

I'm right there with you
He could get paid this summer with all that cap out there
He would probably be in the top tier of FA centers

What about a trade possibly?
