BIG EDDIE wrote:Hey, I dont like it either when the game is interrupted every minute because of foul calls and free throw shots. I think the NBA has some stupid rules calling so many fouls, which makes it tough for a team's defense to execute.
BUT, as long as it is like that, Im all for getting to the FT line as much as we can.
Durant and Westbrook both do a great job of getting to the line and overall, its no accident that the Thunder shoot the most or second most FTs in the league, they DO get fouled alot.
Of course there are bad calls in every game, sometimes its in a game-deciding moment (like last year's Durant shot against the Jazz, remember?), but I dont think there is anything to blame on the refs this time. The Thunder simply went to the line more times, because the got fouled more in the act of shooting, that simple.

You know, I give the "it's not our fault the game is called this way" and the "we take advantage of it" because it's true and props for it.

But, my beef with the officiating is that it WASN'T FAIR. There were countless times Al, AK and Millsap drove the paint, got the same contact you got and no whistle but any time a Thunder player got a whiff, FOUL!!! (The DWIll foul on Westbrook was just smh) You have to at least acknoledge that. We know it's not your fault and you can't do anything about it, and in the end, it's a W for you and a L for us but at least understand why we feel like we got shafted but the refs on OUR HOME FLOOR!!

Jazz fans complaining about officiating on their home court, huh...

Hey, we get it, you lost because of the refs. What more can you say about it? Move on, please.

Good game, OKC fans. Your team would not miss and its tough to beat an opponent like that. I sure hope you guys dont cry about last season's non-call on Miles though, because officiating kept you all in this game tonite. See you guys next time, good luck!

And why do you think that is?

Still, a W is a W for you and L is an L for us. See you next time.

Millsap24 wrote:But 1st half? Come on now, that was ridiculous. Got 58 points on 21 of 22 free throw attempts. Durant got 8 FTA in the 1st quarter alone, while only taking 4 FGA. Deron went off in the 1st quarter and it looked like the refs were trying to keep the game close with Durant getting half of his 15 points at the line during that quarter.

Come on man. Not only is bitching about this in their forum a waste of time, but the free throw disparity just happens sometimes, this time it happened in a big cluster. The thunder will shoot some of the most FTs per game, and we will end up as one of the most foul prone teams in the league, I guarantee it. That margin was just extra wide last night (and worse because they didn't miss). You win some, you lose some. Despite that, we were still in this at the end of the game ( despite Al going 5/14, and Ibaka doing his best MIllsap impression).

Good game thunder, see you next time.

no but its in line with what a lot of fans tend to do

especially against OKC since we're such a high foul draw team it happens every time we win

Return to Oklahoma City Thunder
