Yeah, nevermind that Presti traded the franchise player Ray Allen for a first rounder and a bunch of overpaid scrubs. Boston owed them one.

I don't think Ainge felt swindled at all. KP was a fan favorite, but he never was on the court at clutch time against athletic teams. He's a niche player who is very valuable against big centers like Bynum and Howard. Ainge never intended to pay him, so got what he could.

Not sure why Ainge would have wanted Harden over Green, since Boston has so many SGs, but thats what the Sports Guy says and he has good Boston contacts. Regardless, I'm sure Ainge would have no reluctance in engaging in another deal with the Thunder if he believes it helps the Celtics.

Harden looks like he will be one of the better players in the NBA in few years. I can't say the same for Green. Green is too passive unlike Harden who is a born competitor. As a Celtic fan I think Harden would easily have been a much better trade than Green.
