Labor meeting has just ended

Post#1 » by BIG EDDIE » Tue Oct 4, 2011 9:44 pm

...couple of minutes ago.
Hope to hear something soon.

Might the season start on time after all? One can only hope.

As it stands now I think we are lucky if the season starts Dec 1st. Probably more like Jan 1st.

I mean 50/50 is a good deal on both sides, but I don't know why the players won't take that deal. The players is asking for too much, and I think they care about the money more than the fans/titles. If this lockout continued's then the players is going to lose money...

That's why they will end the lockout by monday and accept the 50-50 split.
Everyone tries to pull the best possible deal, but come deadline (monday) and season games are to be lost, I think they will agree to this deal.

Always stay optimistic :)

What is at 53% players and 47% owners before the lockout?

Well, last year it was 57% for the players, but the owners wanted to push it down to 46%.
The players went then down to 53% and the owners up to 47%.
Then in the last meeting, they say that the owners offered 50%, which the players rejected apparently.
I dont know the details, but based on this, I think the players should really accept the 50% offer, which they will hopefully do by monday. Fingers crossed!
