Harden said he thinks it's better for the team for Thabo to start an him come off the bench.

James Harden said he expects to come off the bench again this season.

come on Harden...

Harden said he's not going to shave or even trim his beard any time soon.

Maynor on the criticism of Westbrook: "I thought it was wrong."

KD on Westbrook: "I'm glad he's on our team. He's a freak of nature."

Russ on his relationship with KD: "I just know that me and Kevin are very close. We talk every day and communicate on what we need to do."

Thunder coach Scott Brooks cont. on KD & Russ: "There's nothing really to talk about. I think they're great teammates."

Sad these guys even have to answer these questions. Media trying to make a big deal out of nothing.

Perk: "I just got on the Twitter. I don't know if Sam Presti know that yet."

confirmation that the twitter account is his

Perk said he left all his braces and wraps back in Texas. Said this is the first year since 2009 he hasn't needed any of that.

healthy perk!

Perk on earlier reported rift between him and Westbrook: "I can't ever even remember arguing with Russ to be honest ... there's no beef."

We officially have it answered, NO ONE HATES WESTBROOK

Perk on KD's leadership: "He's set the bar high ... I've never seen a superstar work as hard as him and that's the truth."

KD better leader than KG, Pierce, Allen, Rondo, Shaq, etc. I like it 8-)

So Harden will not be starting?
I mean it's good to have someone like Harden coming off the bench, no question, but can you (and is it wise to) keep him on the bench?
Big question mark...

I mean, even a guy like Ginobili, who is without a doubt the best "6th man" of the past century, has started in more than half of his 633 regular season games in his career.
Averaging 28 minutes and 15.3 points.... where he is a legit 33 minutes 19 points player.
Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we are here we might as well dance!

Ginobili came off the bench for years behind Bruce Bowen and didn't become a regular starter until Bowen lost his ability to defend.

I have a hard time being mad about Sefolosha starting when Harden isn't.

Here's a bonus picture of OKC today, just because it looks awesome.

Reggie Jackson has decided to wear number 15 instead of 0 that he wore in college.

Devon tower always looks sweet when we have fog.

I can see it all the way from Sooner/12th between Norman and 240.

it will only work well if KD improves his toughness and boxing out. Sure it might help offensively but if we are giving up a lot of offensive rebound and paint points it wont be worth it.

KD at PF isn't a bad thing in and of itself, he can handle his business against a lot of matchups there. It's just when you have him defending Marc freakin' Gasol you run into problems. I recall Durant defending David West capably, for example.

its not just defending marc and the big bodies, its boxing out , being a presence defensively in the paint when people drive, and being tough. I have my doubt's, hopefully he proves me wrong.

see game 5 vs Dallas, we couldn't get a defensive board at the end of the game. Brooks stayed small for too long and I think it cost us that game.

SHORING UP HALFCOURT OFFENSE

Brooks said much of Wednesday's practice session was spent fine-tuning the halfcourt offense. It was the first time in the first six days of camp that the team focused on the halfcourt offense with the defense live.

“We didn't break out in transition,” Brooks said. “We just wanted to focus on scoring in the halfcourt sets with a physical defense on the players.”

First time in years i seen us work on something else other than defence!

There is a little talk of us putting in a bid for Travis Outlaw (who was just amnestied). I wouldn't HATE it as long as it is really cheap.

Here's the highlights. You'll see Perkins in a few of these plays. There's one in particular where the dude is in a full-on sprint in transition. It's awesome to see. I don't think his jersey ever moved that much from him running as did then.

He does look way slimmer, can't find him based on the random eye test. Seemed like he run and jumped far better than in the playoffs.

Is it just me or does he look pretty similar in size to Cole Aldrich now?
