One thing that hasn't changed is Westbrook committing charges...

Its always the same with Westbrook. He's just wild.

Frustrating. I thought the Thunder's Offense would come much better than this.

We're still allowing way too much turnovers, taking awful shots and playing an isolation game.

Westbrook shouldn't be playing on the ball this much.

It's just the first game, improvement will come slowly if at all.

Westbrook is just forced to do too much when Sefolosha is in the game. When Harden is in to take some of the ball-handling duties, he's free to cause terror slashing into the paint which is his strength.

the 2nd half of this game was terrible, Westbrook turnover after turnover, Harden couldn't make a shot, and the perimeter defense was non existent.

great 1st half though.

I hate to like this team. Our offense is a pain to watch.

To an extent, I agree with this as excuse for bad shot selection. But I don't buy it at all for most of the turnovers he had tonight. The charges when he has a good dump-off optioin are particularly frustrating.

Russ was definitely forcing too much. Tough to do against the Magic with Howard in the middle.

Ibaka continues to struggle mightily against jump shooting big men. He was smoked by Ryan Anderson and was a complete non-factor offensviely. I thought there were some positive things offensively. The 3pt shooting was great from Maynor / Cook / Harden for the most part.

The issue with Russ is I think a lack of a system offensively. These are issues Brooks should be addressing but he hasn't. Russ should not be a 30 USG player with his efficiency. He definitely was forcing up shots that had nothing to do with Thabo on the court.

I need to see some more bigs on the post more. We need some low-post scoring, but it was a good game. The bench impress me a lot, job well done. Hope to see Ibaka get out of that slump game he had.

Positives
+ James Harden looked cool, calm and collected. He missed some shots in the 2nd half, but overall he did a great job.
+ Perkins is such a good defender. He is probably the best post defender in the league, and his PnR defense is pretty great as well. We all know about his physicality and toughness. With his legs back under him, he is the total package defensively.
+ Durant looked more sure of himself, and made the correct play more often then in the past. His shot selection was very solid.
+ Thabo with solid defense, and hit a couple 3's with confidence. Keep this up Thabo.
+ Maynor was solid, is it just me or does every time Maynor shoot a 3, you expect it to go in? gamer
+ Collison with the best plus/minus on the team, nuff said.

Negatives
- Westbrook went into lizard mode in the 3rd quarter. I thought he turned the corner after the 1st half, but it looks like he still has a ways to go. The one thing I do love about him is his desire, and work ethic, I have no doubts he will get there eventually.
- Ibaka was invisible offensively, and was a liability out on the perimeter defensively. I did like a few of his shot alterations in the paint, specifically on Dwight when he stuffed him once.
- Mohammed grabbed 7 rebounds, but he looks really old and slow. I dunno how long much longer he can play. I hope Cole is ready when his time comes this season, he needs to own it.

I actually think our offense has improved a fair bit. Last year it was always in WB or KD's hand, while the other worked off the ball. Very 1 dimensional.

In the Orl game i noticed a lot more swinging to the SG for post feeds (and KD had a lot more post feeds which was good) and a lot of high post entries for our bigs. KD was making some good decisions with the ball too.
