Artest suspended 7 games, so basically rd1 of the playoffs. Not what I was hoping, but not terrible either.

Sounds about right. A lot of people wanted 5, and some people wanted 10. So a decent compromise.

FWIW, I was in the latter group.

This could be only the beginning if Lakers and Thunders meet in the second round when World War comes back. And NBA and NBA fans have gone soft after all these years. Watch Knicks vs Heat, or Bulls vs Knicks, now that's what I call physical. A win is a win, there are no excuses, it was a good win by the Lakers.

Stern intentionally made it so World Peace would be in series should both teams make it to the second round.
