Harden wins 6MOTY

Post#1 » by CKRT » Thu May 10, 2012 8:54 pm

Pretty much had this on lock the whole season. Not sure of his season stats (bball ref is down), I know he was hovering around 16.8/5/5 on like 65 TS% which is INSANE.

Excited for him. I love me some James Harden.

Such an enjoyable player to watch.

This award is a real credit to Harden's individual character and the organizations culture. Harden is the second youngest player to win the award behind Ben Gordon.

What is the future for Harden? Does he keep coming off the bench or does he move into the starting lineup?

keeps coming off the bench. The role is perfect for him, it would basically guarantee that we have a good bench for the next 10 years.

There was a mention by one of the broadcasting teams during the Dallas series that during a conversation with Scott Brooks he explained what the coaching staff and organization had asked of Harden and how coming off the bench would help the team and help Harden individually. There was also a comment attributed to Brooks in which the thinking was that if Harden won a sixth man award and played at a high level then his talent and impact might force a move to the starting lineup.

My take is Harden has earned a place in the starting lineup and next year will be the right time to implement him. If the team doesn't play as well then you can always ask him to go back to the bench for the sake of the team.

Don't think it matters, just keep Harden's usage high all the time and it will not make difference if he's starting or coming off bench.

Keep improving the big three interplay and we'll win.

Harden should be playing Jeff Green's minutes, this is fact.

Harden would probably have to start to reach the same minutes Jeff Green was playing. If you're going to make Sefolosha nothing more than a token starter then why bother.

A move to the bench could be good for Sefolosha as well.

Knock me over with a feather. Didn't see this coming. Who knew?

On a serious note enjoy him while he is in an OKC jersey because it won't be for long. Only so many dollars to be tossed around.
