Kobe's after game comments

Post#1 » by BIG EDDIE » Thu May 17, 2012 1:46 pm

Here the video: javascript:nbaPlayoffs.cvp.startVideo('/video/channels/playoffs/2012/05/17/0041100232_lal_okc_postgame3.nba','vod');

He sounds pretty desperate and awkward here.
Especially when he says that Durant and Westbrook "gambled" with their steals they made in the last 2 minutes. Jumping into the passing lane...very risky play...not conventional. These are the words he uses.
I mean comon, risky? Jumping into the passing lanes?
Durant just simply reached out with his arms to grab the ball and Westbrook's deflection was at halfcourt, so there was actually nothing risky about that play either.

Haha, I love to see Kobe this beat-down.

I hate Kobe, but he's not lying... OKC was very risky in the passing lanes down the stretch. This is just reaching for scraps.

What we did was risky and we should of paid for it but didn't.

Watch the plays again: http://www.nba.com/playoffs/2012/westse ... _recap.nba

KD steal at 2:48
Westbrook deflection at 2:58

No way KD's steal was risky in any way. He didn't move away from his position at all.
You could argue about Westbrook's, but he usually takes much bigger gambles than this one.

Kobe's an idiot. OKC needed to take some risks because they were down 7. If we stayed home and played it safe, valuable time would be eaten off the clock and we'd be left with a 2 possession game still. Also, it was such a tough defensive slugfest that letting them eat the clock and relying on our halfcourt offense against their great halfcourt D would be EVEN RISKIER.

Glad you posted this, thinking the exact same thing? He's acting like OKC was doing something unprecedented just because he turned the ball over twice in a row, just admit you **** up. Durant and Westbrook weren't doing anything 99 percent of the NBA would've done there

Denial is an amazing thing, I love how Kobe and the Lakers try to make it seem like OKC isn't winning any games, the Lakers are just losing. The fact is, the Lakers can't hang with this OKC team, we are a terrible matchup for the Lakers.
