Incredible poise. I'm not someone who puts much stock into 'veteran presence' and whatnot, but there's a tangible difference in the way this team responded to adversity in these playoffs compared to last season. Some of that is just the experience of losing in the WCF last season, but I'm willing to admit that acquiring not-so-productive-but-very-experienced players like Perkins and Fisher has had a positive effect on team morale and outlook. This team has been tested repeatedly in the playoffs this year, and the Spurs fought every step of the way. Now this comeback was the biggest accomplishment - at half time I would have been content if it was a 2-3 possession game at the start of the fourth, but they had it there in about four minutes, actually taking the lead before the fourth. That's just unreal for a team this young.

I have some issues with the coaching decisions Brooks makes but overall the way this organization has been constructed in the last four years is the blue print for how it should be done. Every year they take another step in the right direction. Sam Presti might be the best GM in the NBA already. Everything he's said since the beginning has been true so far.

Congrats guys! I picked the Thunder to win it all and it looks like they will! They're my second favorite team BTW.

Congrats OKC. You deserve this one. i was rooting for the Spurs this series (and to win it all) even after your 3-2 series lead. With an 18 point lead i thought it was only a matter of time before a Game 7. i was wrong. There were bad calls which i though might have affected the outcome of the game-- however, you did make some big shots (Harden i think) which was ULTIMATELY the undoing of the Spurs.

Good luck in the NBA Finals. No choice now but to root for you guys-- Boston or Miami being champions just doesn't sit well with me. :)

Congrats guys.

If y'all win the title this season it'll be the definition of a storybook run.

Mavs, Lakers, Spurs... even on paper that sounds like a heck of a run through previous championship winners. Add the Heat or Celtics to that list and there may be something to this unending line of "changing of the guard" type stories. Hopefully KD can get some rest after putting in the full 48 tonight!

This board is INCREDIBLY pathetic.

Your team is great!

I know our team is great and I was incredibly surprised about the lack of enthusiasm of the thunder's achivement on this board

Congratz, hoping my team can close it out so we can move on to the finals. The OKC fans were great as usual and helped carried the team to the win, hopefully my fellow celtic fan can do the same.

Call me crazy, but I thought you were an OKC fan?

Oh, and we are actually in the finals.

It's crazy thinking about how much better we've gotten since 08. This is insane.

Celtics fan here. Congrats. I had OKC winning the entire thing back when the playoffs just started. I was debating all my coworkers that OKC was the team to beat and kept calling me crazy. They were all steadfast in their belief that the Surs were the team to beat and they'd win it all. Well...

They knocked out the defending Champs like that and no one at my work said it was worth a grain of salt. I saw different. To me, it was significant, regardless if the Mavs struggled this year.

Then they knocked out Koby, which should've turned the lights on, but they didn't see it

Now they knocked out the team to beat. I can't wait to see them at work tomorrow and gloat.

Now, the unfortunate part comes where they'll most likely knock out my Celts.

I just see a bunch of winners playing for OKC.

If Presti does his job right and makes sure your big three get paid, without depleting the money allotted for the bench, then you guys should make a run like the lake show did in the 80's. JMHO. Health always applies though.

Congrats Thunder fans your run has been truly worthy of a soon to be champ. I really believe you guys will win this. As a long time Laker fan I realize OKC will be the team we'll have to challenge for a good while, that said I know the playoffs are an emotional time and we root for our teams to win . I just wanted to let you guys know that just because you don't see me give up credit to a team it's doesn't mean I don't get how good you are in reality.

In closing LA fans (some with no pettyness) will be pulling for you, especially seeing that it's a lot of LA born and bread local guys playing there. I use to see Harden workout in my gym, and saw both him and Westbrook play in high school.

Good luck and keep the trophy in the west for the 4th straight year!!!
