harden to portland

Post#1 » by chocodog » Fri Jun 8, 2012 2:48 am

I know thunder fans would love to keep this team together as they seemed to be in position to get the first of possibly many championships. Realistically, however, it will be extremely difficult to keep BOTH harden and ibaka, considering the extensions Durant and Westbrook already received. Would thunder fans be cool with any of the possible trades involving harden to portland?...

harden for wes matthews, #6

Harden, Ibaka for matthews, #6, #11, rights to joe freeland

harden, perkins for matthews, #6, #11

they'll be on their last year of rookie contract next year, we'll probably decide next year or try to move/amnesty Perkins then.

My order of priority remains

Harden>> Ibaka >> Perkins

I think the Thunder could get more for Harden right now.

I agree. I think someone is going to offer up Harden a max deal.

I'm telling everyone this one more time Aubrey McClendon is up to his neck in money problems. Apparently no one cares though even though the dude is the "majority" owner in the Thunder.

^^^^^^ that wast published just a few hours ago.

The dude is borrowing boatloads of money. If someone offers up a max deal to Harden they let him walk. They won't be able to afford him. That's why they need to trade him for the best package of young talent out there. Because it's CHEAPER. Not better but CHEAPER. The dudes company is "billions" of dollars in debt.

No one is listening to me on this but other than winning a ring, something big is going to happen with this franchise this off season.

They'll match any offer for Harden.. don't see how the situation is related to McClendon's money issues. They'll do anything not to alienate the fanbase IMO.

His company is billions of dollars in debt. "Billions" kind of hard to pay out the cash when you don't have it.

People are making comparisons between Chesapeake Energy and Enron. When your company gets compared to Enron it is not a good thing EVER.

He is going broke. As in no cash flow.

This whole subject is a rumor!

There is no reason in the world to break up these four. The oppertunity to have a group of guys so close in age and so skilled is priceless. Them together is worth double the $70 they will be earning combined in the next couple of years.

It wont matter who 5-9 are with all of them paid & taken care of. But, I know with thoes 4 locked up there will be plenty of players willing to round out the team at the Vet min.

Sam will not let his core 4 get away from him.

Seriously, these guys are in the finals and IMO are going to win it so GTFO with this trade **** about breaking up the core.

No one cares about Wesley Matthews and the number 6 pick when your fighting for a championship.

Apparently his energy company buys alot of tickets, if they have to cut cost that's one area they'll cut back on. Potential revenue hit if we're not able to sell out thereafter.

I think the sponsorship of the arena isn't a problem though as someone else is bound to step in given our higher prominence.
