Would You Do This?

Post#1 » by KGBiggestfan521 » Sun Aug 19, 2012 5:03 pm

I'm a Celtic fan, but I love your team. I hope Kevin Durant retires a Thunder and I hope the Thunder are contenders every year. But you look at Eric Gordon getting the max and you realize Harden probably could get one too. I'm not necessarily saying Harden has to be traded, but its interesting to think about what a Harden can get you. But so okay, suppose Indiana offers you a package of George and Hansborough for Harden and Aldrich. Would you do it? George's deal expires in two years, so there's still time to work out an extension. As it is now, I doubt he could get max. Still a very good player. I think the Pacers would do it cause Harden becomes their go to guy. But, I don't know, I would love to hear what you guys think...

There have been over 100 threads on the Trade Board involving Harden in the last 6 months, with most of them attempting to address salary concerns.

You offer some value, but a lesser player who currently plays the same position, who might be best suited for SF within a couple of years.

George is 8 months younger and his contract expires a year before Harden, so there really isn't any sustainable salary solution offered.

If Harden is a luxury the team can't afford, then I would suggest addressing a need. Most believe the team could improve at the center position or a power forward capable of masquerading as a center.

I would consider this tbh. Cause it would give us a huge wing rotation and also allow us to slide in a PG/SG easily for when Durant goes to PF and hopefully Ibaka to C.

Ideally a bigger trade whereby we can send out Perkins as well and that's when the trade idea goes downhill fast.
