Draft Jeff Withey?

Plays good defense and would add another shot blocker.

Could start in place of Perk too.

Russ/Reggie
Thabo/Lamb
KD/Liggins
Ibaka/Collison/Pj3
Withey/Perk/Thabeet

I've thought about that as a possibility as well, he's possibly around w/ a late 1st round pick, and they don't really need a great offensive threat. I think if the 1st pick is a guard, he's be a great pick later on in the 1st if still there, but maybe a reach at 12.

His one elite skill in college was shot blocking, he won't be able to block shots against guys with nba athleticism. He's not a strong post defender and isn't athletic enough to cover from the weak-side, his shot-blocking is a function of playing a one man zone in college and just standing in the paint waiting for the perimeter defenders to push their man to him. His offensive game is better than Perkins, but that's saying almost nothing. He does have pretty good touch but isn't strong enough or athletic enough to be an impact player offensively or defensively. He's also not the type of guy presti likes to draft (super long athletes). He might be an alright 10mpg backup, but I doubt he's even as good as thabeet.

Also, this is from a KU fan, I might be overly optimistic about him

Well he'd be an upgrade over Perkins. Good rim protector with a decent touch around the rim plus he hits his free throws at 71.5%. He's smart, coachable and doesn't do anything that he isn't comfortable doing.

However I believe the better choice for OKC would be a player like Steven Adams. He's more athletic, stronger, a better rebounder, man defender, screen setter, has way better feet and at only 19 with little experience has the potential to become a complete center.

We have Picks 12 (Toronto) and 29, and 32 (Charlotte)

I also like Dieng from Louisville. Haven't seen much Steven Adams.

I don't know much abou Rudy gobert, but looking at the physical tools he has Sam presti written all ove him.

I don't think we'll go guard with the first pick tbh.

I'm not too sure if it's an american thing but i just don't get BPA always as a rule for drafting.
Well there are clear cut cases like Irving or Rose when he came out but as you get lower down the draft and even in the mid lottos, it's probably more of how a GM value the player vs his needs. I mean Kwahi Leonard is awesome on the Spurs and so is Vucevic on Orlando. but if you redo the draft between just this 2 players at point in time now, a team like OKC would definitely pick Vucevic while a team like Memphis would rather go Kwahi.

BPA and potential doesn't really help much if they can't find the minutes to develop them.

The more i read and the more highlights i watch, i would be fine with a Dieng/Jaiteh/Charles Livio draft with the 3 picks.

Dieng for a C right now. Jaiteh for a C stash for 2-3 season and Charles Livio for a 3/4.
