Re: Bill Simmons
I would like to say I think Lamb can be a Starter as soon as Thabo moves on. It will be a shame if he leaves. But, someone will give him more money, and we cant give him the Nick Collison contract. Which might have been one of the smartest deals ever made by Presti.

Re: Bill Simmons
At this point, I'm fine with letting Thabo walk. He's on the wrong side of 30, he's not going to be cheap, and we've got young talent capable of replacing him.

Hes 29. I think he'd sign for pretty cheap. I don't think we have anyone else thats a top tier perimeter defender sitting on the bench right now.
Thabo realizes hes in a contract year, and i think he's pressing. He's being much more assertive offensively, and his percentages are struggling because of it. It would be nice to have him locked up so maybe he'd be able to play a little better. But not doing himself any favors shooting 26% from three, I don't know how much another team would want to spend on that.

Re: Bill Simmons
Huh...for some reason I thought he was 31 or 32. I'm still not going to be overly upset if we don't re-sign him after this year if he continues to play like this, but I also realize we're only 10 games into the season so there's no need to overreact. He's started to shoot the 3-ball better the last couple of games, too.

Re: Bill Simmons
Thabo is better than what people give him credit for. One of the best wing defenders in the NBA. If he can find his 3pt shot again he is gold.
Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we are here we might as well dance!

Re: Bill Simmons
All I have to say is that I like Reggie Jackson and Jeremy Lamb's defensive tools enough to let Thabo walk.
