Raptors Trade V2

Post#1 » by RapsGotThis » Wed Dec 11, 2013 11:16 pm

Okay so I was here earlier with a trade all you hated, and wasnt even possible... Im here again with a different trade that works, and you guys might like more........

Raptors get: jermy Lamb, Kendrick Perkins, 1st rounder from Dallas, 1st rounder from OKC
OKC get: DeRozan, Novak

Raps do it to help with the rebuild with a young player and 2 first rounders...
OKC do it to get DeRozan who is improving year-by-year and in a good contract. They also get rid of Kendrick Perkins contract and get Novak who is arguably one of the best 3pt shooters in the league....

When you consider DeRozan makes more than Ellis, Redick, Martin, and Affalo, is it really a good contract?
I much rather have Lamb at 2.5 million than Derozan at 9.5 million per.

You left out where Novak is owed 7 million over the next 2 years so it is not really dumping Perkins at all(unless it is not guaranteed), and that Novak is one of the worst defenders in the league....

This is the purpose of the general trade board.

No thanks, still.

This trade rocks for Tor and is blasphemy for OKC. Completely ruins what the Thunder have built.

Because of salaries, the same trade without the two draft picks doesn't seem entirely appealing to me. You would think in a deal that you're sending out two first rounders in a supposedly great draft, it would be very one-sided without the picks.

Well this was from the other thread, but edited slightly, I think it still works
theokie wrote:1) we have a general trade thread for this
2) this would put OKC 1 million over the tax
3) Novak is horrible
4) Lambs a better fit than Derozan, and Derozan sure as hell isnt worth all of that

So its a no from OKC

The Thunder are not interested in DeRozan, he cant shoot and that really going to be a staple of any player they get back, also there is no way they can pay him going forward. Reggie is the sixth man now and is looking the goods

The only players on your roster the Thunder would have some sort of interest on would be Val.

We would have interest in Hansbrough or Patterson if Collison went down.

We would have interest in Ross but, I don't think there is a situation in which we see eye to eye on value for him.

We would take Vasquez but only if one of the PG's went down.

You are welcome for Buycks.

I think you are Barking up the wrong tree. You should build around Val! w/ Guys under contract like Hansbrough and Vasquez they are a nice fit in any second unit. You have three guys who fit the build of a contender. Now you just have to continue to suck and get a Wiggins or a Parker

Ross Lowery, and DeRozan (4 years 40 million, is not an awful contract) will bring the most back for your team.

I do not see the Thunder moving Big Perk. I am really hoping he signs a lesser deal after this one is up, like a 4 year 12 million.
