Ivey is back!!!

Post#1 » by Podirk » Wed Jan 15, 2014 4:31 pm

Or, at least he is supposedly getting a physical to get a 10 day contract.

I like it...if it's no the only move before the playoffs. Risks nothing currently. Has history with the team, another Tx guy for KD that he is familiar with. I always liked his D and effort (which means he isn't anything special :) ).

In the back of my mind I'm thinking its a player OKC has history with and can fill a slot between a Thabo trade, and a CJ Miles into the Maynor TPE....but having been a Thunder fan from the beginning...I know better.

The Warriors have acquired Jordan Crawford and Marshon Brooks in a trade with the Celtics,
and our biggest news of the day, we signed Ivey for 10 days

In fairness, Crawford is better than Ivey, but neither are likely game changers

you use trade machine to determine what player is better?

What picks are OKC gonna throw in to make the deal happen? Cause that's what it cost MIA...a 1st and a 2nd.
And how much do you pay Crawford knowing Jackson and Lamb are getting closer and closer to an extension?

I'm not saying it would be bad or anything...just not upset that this isn't the trade Presti jumped on.

Just an FYI, Crawford's not really amazing. He's pretty much having his "break out" year, and is an average guard in a contract year. Prior to this he never played this well and was traded last season for Leando Barbosa and Jason Collins

14 points on 41/31/87 shooting splits. Crawford isnt going to make GS better than us, and likely wouldn't have made us much better either.
