Care to share any info? Don't want to sound like I'm calling you out b/c I'm not :D Just want to know as much as possible, as this team is tough to watch right now and I don't want to get my hopes up if they're going to be stuck in this situation.

Basically don't know much more than what I already said. But if I were you I wouldn't think much of it, because theres no way Id trust a stranger on the internet about this, and even if what I was saying was true, remember Tyson Chandler? No one really knows for sure.

That being said, I'm going to be pretty bummed out about it. Thunder are likely going to keep Russ out as long as possible to see if he can get through the postseason without another surgery... and after that.... :(

Not gonna lie, it is a bummer, if you have any info, PM me, I'd love to know as this season kinda is starting to suck for a stretch. I was hopeful, as Russ is my favorite player, and from what I've read online it didn't seem like he was in too bad of shape (from what I read it wasn't as bad as a guy like Rose or Roy, seemed more or less to be inflamation that may recur but not threaten a career). If not, no prob, but thanks anyway! :-?

Edit: Sorry okie, but I needed to post a few links, as I have been wasting time at work searching for info, but it all still seems relatively positive (relative of course to Roy). Roy had no meniscus remaining, Westbrook had it repaired, and though recurring issues (and minor procedures for swelling in offseasons) are a definite possibility it seems to not be completely career ending from what I can tell. I could be wrong, but hope I'm not.

Not at all, Brandon Roy's knees are bone on bone causing early onset of arthritis which forced him into retirement. Westbrook had surgery to repair the cartilage, complications went on with that and had another arthroscope to clear out swelling. Westbrook's just been unlucky, his knees are still very healthy since non of the cartilage had to be removed, they are not degenerative.

I thought Reggie's value would skyrocket as a result of this, but the opposite has been true in my opinion. With increased minutes and a bigger role, his points, assists, and rebounds have stayed level, while his percentages have dropped and his turnovers have jumped up.

I was thinking he could demand a 10 million a year contract for a while, and OKC would look to trade him. But now he's looking more like 6-7 per year. 14 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 turnovers, on 43/40/78 as a starter this month is pretty blah. Not what I was expecting from him.

In fairness, the foursome of Thabo/Durant/Ibaka/Perkins is probably harder to play PG with than Lamb/Jones(Fisher)/Collison/Adams. So maybe that explains it.

Laker fan. I come in peace. Your team has been hot lately! KD is rolling and Jackson is ballin. I really like your chances this year getting to the finals. My question is...with his knee surgeries do you think your team would consider trading Westbrook (obviously not to lakers we have no one lol)? I was wondering what his value would be? Would you guys seek another pg or a big man? I would support getting a big man. Would you do a Teague/Hotford trade for Westbrook/filler?

Teague
Lamb
Durant
Ibaka
Hortford

That is a sick starting five!

OKC isnt trading Westbrook, and even if they were considering it, it wouldn't be for a guy who won't play basketball again this season.

Assuming that filler would be Perkins, I'd take that deal if Horford wasn't out for the season. Obviously with him out for the season it'd be a no-go. I'd rather have a super efficient former first-option center and a solid point guard than an inefficient high usage point guard and a complete nonthreat offensively center. I'd rather have a collection of picks/prospects than Teague though, to make a follow up trade for a better pg, Rondo anyone?

If OKC replaced Westbrook on this team with a healthy Horford, I think OKC is still the favorites out of the West and better suited for a championship run. Like I've said alot, I believe OKC's lack of post presence is the main reason for the poor execution in the half court set. One of the announcers a couple games back made the point that its due to the bigs inability to pass as well. Horford would solve both those problems. He is also a good midrange shooter.
