I'd do something around the premise, but not straight up as I don't think adding more rookies is a great plan right now. I'd say Lamb/21 for something/9 would work though, so I'd vote yes. Don't know what Charlotte could add.

As one would expect them to do. Lamb was the #12 pick in a weak dratt that should hold a lot less value than the #9 pick in a very strong draft. Add to that Lamb is in Scotts doghouse and has two fewer years remaining on his rookie deal, Lamb is not getting the #9 pick.

Lamb isn't in Brooks doghouse, that implies he did something wrong outside of miss shots down the stretch.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

and Henderson + 9 for Lamb + 21 would still be a good deal for us...

Yep, don't know about 13 though, I think it would matter who was available draft night. I'm inclined to keep Lamb and make Brooks play him more next year. He's shown flashes at least. I still think Hairston could be had at 21 so that would get a shooter in the draft.

Was thinking Henderson should be able to replace some of Thabo role.
and 9 is a chance of a much better role player than 21.

True (heck he can't shoot much worse than Thabo right now....). 9 would be a coup for that deal.

even perkins is shooting much better than thabo right now.

Not sure whats up with thabo.

edit: the more optimistic bobcats fans actually suggested something similar.

No. Why would we trade for a rookie when J Lamb next year is J Lamb break out year. The kid can shoot it. Give him an off season with KD and watch out. No one @ 9 will be worth J Lamb unless Marcus Smart is there somehow.

Henderson would push us over the Lux tax. That is not gonna happen.

I haven't actually ran the numbers, but would he? With Thabo + Lamb gone and the tax increase it doesn't seem like 6 million would push us over. (Wouldn't that be about the same as the outgoing salary from just those two?)

With Lux tax raising from 71.7 to 77, they might just get under the threshold, but its doubtful with the salary increases for Durant and Westbrook. Plus two draft picks.

I think the Thunder stand pat and maybe add someone through the mid-level. A underrated guy I would love is Channing Fry. Stretch 4 that can nock down the 3. He could play with any big on the roster.
